Last Thursday Sneaker News broke the news of an upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium release, featuring a classic All-American style of denim jeans and bronze contrast stitching. Many of our readers expressed the excitement at the looming release, calling it one of the best Air Force 1s in years. They were certainly spot-on with that assessment, as others who have proclaimed themselves indifferent toward the Air Force 1 suddenly became open to one of the most celebrated shoes of all time. This new image also reveals a truer color of the shoe – a traditional blue rather than a dark-rinse style we saw in the first preview. Thankfully, the release of these beauties isn’t that far away, May 20th, 2011 to be exact, so let us know if these are a must-have for you.

The holiest of holy grails is the OG Air Jordan 1, worn by the man himself. What makes this pair extra special is that this PE was made particularly for Michael Jordan when he returned from a devastating foot injury in his second season. This special pair features a special harness connection to an ankle strap to provide additional stability for his ankle and feet, as well as a custom orthotic insole for additional padding/protection. This rare Air Jordan artifact is also unique in the right foot is a size 13 while the left is a half size larger at 13.5 (MJ had mis-matched feet), and the shoes itself feature a ‘TYPS’ designation, which differentiates in-game PEs from retail versions. The Air Jordan 1 was listed as one of the Top 30 shoes in Jordan Geller’s ShoeZeum – would these Game-Worn PEs be an addition soon to come? Check out the images of this rare gem below and check out the starting price of the auction from vivid.vintage on eBay.

Puma and Undefeated have been collaborating for a while now, their 24K Mids pack making the initial Sneaker News Top 30 list back in 2009 and the recent ‘Stripe-Off’ Clydes offering an entry for early consideration this year. And here’s another attempt to end up in 2011′s best-ofs, the UNDFTD x Puma Clyde in a trio of canvas colorways. These teaser images don’t reveal too much beyond their canvas construction with tonal laces and a white sole, though it’s worth noting that the white pair appears to have a red Formstripe on the lateral side with white on the medial. Every once in a while you see a set of sneakers with a common look that aren’t given a formal pack name or any hype, and yet they manage to still make a splash. That’s a safe bet for the mix of black plus Daybreak, Myth and Citron Yellow, a palette that’s being carried over from its Air Max 1 debut onto this new Nike Air Max 90. This newer take on the junior model is a bit darker despite its white midsoles, large sections of black on the upper leading to a more aggressive look. Click through for a bunch of images and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates; select Asian Nike Sportswear accounts just got theirs so you know a US release is right around the corner.

The hit TV show ‘Entourage’ was the inspiration behind one special colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2, combining LeBron’s signature shoe and one of his favorite television shows. The Photo Blue, Varsity Maize, and Black colorway, taken from one of the show’s original billboards/posters, is considered to be one of the best of LeBron 8 V/2s, which is why gentry187 on NT transferred that colorway perfectly, through Nike iD, onto the Nike Zoom KD III. Featuring a patent leather upper, glossy Flywire panels, and a solid Varsity Maize outsole, this Nike Zoom KD III iD ‘Entourage’ is almost a perfect copy of the LeBron 8 version despite the two shoes being structurally exclusive from each other. Continue reading for a detailed look at this sweet Nike iD creation and let us know which version – LeBron 8 or KD III – you like better.

The Nike Sky Force ’88 is one of the many Nike models to make a return this year, and instead of a Retro, it’s we’re getting OGs! That’s because Nike Sportswear has decided to give them the Vintage carwash, using distressed ‘vintage’ leather uppers with outsoles with the white oxidative residue that often accumulates on older Nike models. If these are too plain for ya, remember there’s a dope Stussy collab coming our way as well, but for some, if the plain and simple is your bread and butter, grab either pair now at Nikestore (the Pine Green pair will soon be on its way).

Chicago’s in, Orlando’s still alive, things aren’t looking great for the Spurs, and the Nuggets can dig for one more day. The 2011 NBA Playoffs continued on this week and we got a look at some more sneakers that came on court. Gilbert Arenas had a solid game off the bench while wearing the Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary, and teammate Quentin Richardson wore the Jordan Play In These in an ORL-specific colorway. Also forcing another game were the Denver Nuggets, who avoided elimination with a Game 4 win, led by J.R. Smith and his Kobe VI iD and Ty Lawson and his Zoom Uptempo V iD. Both the Lakers and Mavericks took 3-2 leads in their respective series’, with Kobe Bryant wearing the Black/Del Sol colorway of the Kobe VI, Lamar Odom wearing the Hyperfuse 2011, and Dirk Nowitzki wearing the Hyperdunk 2010. Check out the full recap below and stick with Sneaker News for more NBA Feet 2011 Playoffs coverage! via Yahoo!.

It’s Janoski season, and here we have yet another preview at an upcoming colorway. This low-top version features a black canvas/denim material on the upper, perhaps the same denim-like material used on the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Denim’ that dropped a few weeks ago, with a dark grey swoosh and brown accents on the lace eyelets as well as on the tongue label. Again, matching these with your outfit should be easy as pie, and the Janoski has proven to be one of the most popular SB models since it first debuted in 2009. Another image awaits you below, so take a peek and let us know what you think.

Two years ago, Trevor Ariza played shutdown D on the perimeter to help the Los Angeles Lakers win their first of back to back championships. He missed the postseason last year with Houston but is now back in the playoffs with New Orleans, who have a chance to upset the defending champs in the first round. And no matter the outcome of this competitive series, nobody can doubt Ariza’s Nike Basketball player exclusive collection, models like this new Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low PE having become a regular side benefit of his solid play. Will the Hornets be able to undercut the Lakers? We’ll need at least two more games to find out but be sure to stick with Sneaker News to see what all the NBA stars are wearing in our ongoing NBA Feet feature.

“You get a LunarGlide+ 2! And you get a you get a LunarGlide+ 2! And you get a LunarGlide+ 2!”
Ok, so it didn’t actually go down like that but Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight certainly left an impression on the crowd at ‘Oprah‘. Knight sat down with everybody’s favorite TV talk show host, covering Phil’s life from major league dreams to leading Nike, Inc. to its place as global leader and beyond. And for those of you dying to know, it looks like Knight went for a pair of Cole Haans rather than the Air Jordan player exclusive route. Boston Celtics sharpshooter Ray Allen has seen more dope Air Jordan PEs come his way than pretty much anybody outside of Michael himself, but now Celtic fans get a chance at their own look for the playoff season. The Air Jordan CMFT Vis 13 blends a Nike Air Max 1-derived sole and cushion with the dimpled ballistic nylon panels made famous on the Air Jordan XIII, this Green Apple-accented colorway most similar to the ‘Altitude’ colorway that just dropped last year.
