Nike Air Flow – June 2011

Bruce Kilgore, one of Nike’s best young designers at the time, created the Nike Air Flow to satisfy the needs of runners who emphasized breathability as a performance enhancer. Kilgore’s solution was to create a shoe using the Nike Sockracer as a basis and using plush comfort from a teddy bear to create the Nike Air Flow, which featured a breathable and light upper with an comfortable outsole that featured flex-grooves and responsive cushioning. Returning in 2011 is the Nike Air Flow in its original form in two colorways that could’ve been transplanted from the late 80’s – one in Lush Teal/Varsity Purple-Summit White and a second in Bright Cactus/Black-Blue Glow. Check out the detailed images of the Nike Air Flow in the Teal/Purple colorway and expect both of these releases to hit stores this June, and let us know if you prefer the OG ‘Air’ version over the newer ‘Lunar’ version.
