Kobe Bryant and his LA Lakers were just unceremoniously ousted by the Dallas Mavericks and an industrial grade broom, so while the Black Mamba won’t be tying Michael Jordan with six NBA titles, today’s an occasion to move forward with his legacy in a decisive fashion with lowtops breaking the tie to own a majority of the Zoom Kobe series. The Nike Zoom Kobe VII will probably show up on Kobe’s feet sometime around the turn of the year as with previous ZK models, their scaled uppers taking on a slightly different texture than this year’s Flywire-embedded TPU. I'm lovin' the midsole and the subtle increase in height. The upper is a bit dull, but the first samples always look this way until materials are changed and colors are added.

The sole thickness reminds me of the crazy 8s but they look very prototype-ish so I'll wait to judge the final product.

Collar reminds me of the ZK4 and the midsole looks a bit chunky and overworked. I think Kobe is moving away from the "lightest"/"fastest" concept because of all the mishaps with the ZK6 – flew off his foot and all the ankle issues.
Need more pics to see if the shoes will be sweet.

Seriously, no hating here, but I think Kobe should retire when his contract runs out. Sure, he's a hall of famer, but at the same time the guy had a very controversial carreer and was definitely the most overhyped player I've ever seen.
Since his team can't bail him out anymore, might stop for good.
Oh… and the shoes speak for themselves…
