In his eight-year career, LeBron James has built an incredible fan-base thanks to his signature products and marketable persona. Nike Sportswear’s never-dying line-up of classic silhouettes arrives this Fall 2011 season refreshed, remastered, and ready to be rocked for the upcoming months. Check out the ‘Vac-Tech’ Pack – give NSW models constructed in seamless Vac-Tech uppers (as seen in previous Air Force 1 and Royal Mid releases) in suede, leather, and glossy leather. Sneaker News showed you the inside of Jordan Geller’s ShoeZeum over the past several weeks, a southern California collection that’s quite possibly the best in the entire world.  Or maybe second best is more likely, because up the coast in Oregon, the Nike Inc headquarters has its fair share of history on display.  Not only does the Beaverton campus contain countless vintage and unreleased items, but company CEO Mark Parker‘s office could easily be its own show-and-tell.  Photographer Steve Benisty got a chance to look around and snap a few shots, and if a picture’s worth a thousand words, you’d better save some time to digest this thesis on design.  Parker’s got everything from sneaker-themed art to larger than life photographs of Keith Richards and Jimi Hendrix, and with a tiny Kim Jong-il teapot for good measure.  You can see it all when you click on the jump below, and be sure to leave a comment to let us know what you think of Nike Inc. Rick Ross and his newly formed Maybach Music Group, which consists of Wale, Meek Mill, and Pill, visited the set of BET’s 106 & Park once again last night (this was the first visit) to promote their new album, Self Made Vol. 1, which is in stores now. Rick Ross and Wale have been known to rock heat from time to time and on this occasion, even Meek Mill stepped up his Jordan game with a pair of crispy “Wolf Grey” Air Jordan V Retros, while Wale debuted the new “Retro” Foamposite Pros that are set to drop in the coming months. Ross kept it “South Beach” with his floral shirt and fresh out of the box White on White Air Force 1′s. Pill wore the understated yet classic Black and White Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. We just showed you some new images of the initial Air Jordan 2.0 colorway, and though this Saturday, May 28th release is the only one we’ve seen so far in previews, it’s certainly not the only release you’ll see.  Case in point: this new Air Jordan 2.0 GS.  They’re more on the ‘grade school’ side of things than a girls/ladies release thanks to a palette that would have been well suited for the beginning of this month as a Cinco de Mayo themed drop.  But as it stands, this vaguely Christmas-y look is an upcoming release, and you can see more when you click on the jump below.  Let us know what you think and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for new developments including the US release date.  via Air-Randy

A black and red Air Jordan XI would be an instant sell-out, correct? That might not be the exact case with the IE Lows, one of the few OG Jordans with a lukewarm following. It’s a lower-cut Air Jordan 11 with vents on the upper (which might’ve served as an inspiration for the design of the Air Jordan 2011 Quick Fuse) and tumbled leather, and although the design of the shoe is rather unique, it never really captured the universal love that most other Air Jordans get. In any case, the OG colorway (with a translucent black outsole) returns as will a few new colorways, so if you never got on that XI IE Low tip, this summer’s the perfect opportunity to do so. Are we poised for a 2006 Finals rematch? Mark Cuban and Dirk Nowitzki want nothing more than to have another go against the Miami Heat after they lost the ’06 Finals in a six-game series that was rife with questionable calls by referees. Dirk Nowitzki (in the Nike Hyperdunk 2010) put up his second 40-point performance of the series while leading the Mavs to victory after a great comeback (15 points down, 5 minutes to go). The Thunder appeared to be ready to tie the series 2-2, but could not hold off the Dallas attack. Kevin Durant (Zoom KD III ‘Scoring Title’ Home PE) added 29 points and Russell Westbrook (Zoom Hyperfuse) contributed a near-triple-double, but in the end, their efforts were not enough and the Thunder are now on the brink of elimination. The hottest trend in customs at the moment by a wide margin is the reappropriation of classic colorways on new models.  To be fair, companies like Nike Sportswear have been doing this for ages, but there’s no denying that in recent weeks we’ve seen a ton of color swaps in the Sneaker News ‘Customs’ category.  And for whatever reason, one of the most popular models to get the makeover touch is the Air Jordan VI Retro.  The AJ6 is a classic in its own right, the shoe Michael Jordan wore when he won his first championship and a design so distinctive that Supra practically owes royalties for the Skytop II.  The Air Jordan 6 takes a backseat to no sneaker, so when it’s combined with the ‘Cool Grey’ Air Jordan XI look, you’ve got a bonafide burner.  MizzeeCustoms‘ latest work might not be his most intricate in terms of colorblocking, but he went so far as to use a glossy paint to mimick the AJXI’s patent leather, which pushes this one over the top.  Click through to see more and let us know how these compare to all the other colorway homage custom sneakers we’ve seen of late.
