Reebok Zig Slash II John Wall | Fall 2011

Reebok and its quirky Zig Technology is preparing for its Fall 2011 performance footwear collection, with John Wall’s second signature shoe being heralded as the highlight of the brand’s Fall 2011 Basketball Footwear Collection. ’s second signature shoe, presumably titled the Zig Slash II, features a number of design elements and details like a perforated front toe area, a unique striping detail on the rear that mimics a luxurious woodgrain panel, and what appears to be a modified Zig midsole cushioning system, which features a molded midfoot. Sneaker News had already previewed this shoe before, but here’s a look at two upcoming colorways; a black colorway with a red logo and midsole will release, as will a white/black/red/silver version. Continue reading for more detailed photos of these new colorways of the Reebok Zig Slash II and watch for these to release in the Fall 2011 Season.

Nike SB Dunk Mid Black Orion Blue

New for the Summer 2011 season is this Nike SB Dunk Mid colorway in Black/Orion Blue, similar to the 2006 release of the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Send Help’. The upper on this new release features a black suede with orion blue on the swoosh, inner lining, and laces, and mirrors the simple color-blocking seen on an earlier SB Dunk Mid release (the Brickhouse Red upper with gum sole). Nike SB has gained a bit of steam recently with its limited release outputs, but don’t count out these simpler, more generic colorways, as these types of releases are what put Nike SB on the map early on! Check out the images below and look out for these at Nike SB retailers soon. via Dunk.

NBA Feet: 2011 Playoffs Bulls vs. Heat Game 2

The Heat and Bulls took the court last night for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. It’s a dream match-up for NBA fans, seeing a young MVP go against arguably the most star-studded team of our generation. The Bulls were looking to continue their winning ways, but were stifled by Miami’s strong defense, and thanks to an excellent fourth-quarter performance by LeBron James, the Heat were able to take Game 2 and steal Home court advantage for the series. On Chicago’s side, Derrick Rose wore the adidas adiRose 1.5 and Carlos Boozer wore the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 PE. Miami flashed some signature shoes, like Dwyane Wade’s Fly Wade PE and LBJ’s LeBron 8 PS, and Mike Bibby wore the Jordan Alpha 3 Percent for the second straight game. Continue reading for a full recap of last night’s contest and stick with Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage as we near the NBA Finals! via Yahoo!.

Super Mario Bros. x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Packaging

Converse Chuck Taylors have been around long enough to see every single generation of home video games and the latest collaborative release reaches back some twenty-five years to honor one of the industry’s pioneers.  The Super Mario Bros. x Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars brings back memories of the late ’80s for anyone alive back then, their all-over 8-bit print capturing Nintendo‘s resident plumber in a variety of poses.  And Mario’s faithfully reproduced on the special edition box as well, his run along the ground on the side of the box enough to have you searching for the ‘B’ button to make him go faster.  Click through to see more angles and let us know if you’ll try to get a pair of these when they hit retail in Japan this July.  via Kenlu

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke South Beach by All Day

His Gore-Tex camo Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes were among the notable sightings at Tuesday’s Sneakerpedia launch in NYC, but you know ATF founding member All Day won’t be resting on his successes.  Check out All Day’s latest AF1 Bespoke, an ultra-premium leather take on a colorway that’s been sweeping the sneaker scene since LeBron James headed to Miami.  The ‘South Beach’ colorup looks dope with a clear sole and you can’t go wrong with a personalized tongue that matches the laces to tie the whole look together.  Click through for more and let us know how these compare to the best Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke designs we’ve seen on Sneaker News.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI Black Olive Khaki Crimson

Kobe Bryant’s season has been over for some time now, but that still won’t stop Nike Basketball from releasing more colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI. Recently a duo of Euro-exclusive FC Barcelona-inspired Kobe VI colorways hit stores, but check out these new images of the upcoming Olive green camouflage version that is set to hit stores on June 4th; the military motif is given a stark contrast thanks to the bright crimson red accents on the swoosh, shozoku logo on the tongue, and inner tongue lining, but there also appears to be a few minor dots of crimson red on the upper by the toe and midfoot – although those could be minor imperfections of a sample pair. A detailed closer look awaits you below so let us know what you think of this upcoming release after you take a look. via BlendsLA.

Reebok Classic Vintage Collection July 2011

Some sneakerheads bemoan the Nike VNTG treatment, claiming they’d rather wear their kicks into vintage shape than buy them with pre-yellowed soles.  But what would they say about the new Reebok Classic Vintage Collection?  These models capture RBK’s early ’80s rise with a quartet of classic models done with aged touches like aged glue, puckered garment leather and exposed foam panels.  Everything down to the tongue tags’ nylon threading and the matching typeface on the box is taken from the era of ‘fitness’ footwear and you can see more images of the Freestyle Hi, Ex-o-Fit Hi, Workout Low Plus and Classic Leather when you click on the jump below.  Let us know which model is your favorite and look for these at select Reebok retailers this July.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid White Black Grey Volt

The simple fact is, we don’t get all that many Nike Air Force 1 Mid releases.  Just a few a year from this silhouette that some consider a stepchild to the ‘true’ Air Force 1s, but like the Dunk Mid SB, this in-between Uptown has a strong base of support outside of those purists.  Check out the latest model that’s bound to pick up interest from casual sneaker buyers as well, a clean white/grey/black design with Volt accents on the ankle and outsole.  Click through to see some additional angles and look for these at select Nike Sportswear retailers like JD Sports.

Vans May 2011 Releases @ Premier

Vans has been offering its classic skate sneakers since 1966, so what does Off the Wall have in store for this month?  Sneaker News has seven styles to share with you today that can be divided into three pairs and one outlier.  That last one might best represent Vans as a brand these days, its Slip-On silhouette a rebel compared to the rest of the group, and yet it’s crafted in clean grey suede for a subtle appearance.  And as for the two-fers, you get your choice of two different Half Cabs, two Chukka boots in suede and two black/red joints from Jeff Grosso’s Legends Pack collaboration.  Click through to see all of them and grab yours today from Premier.

Air Jordan VI White Maroon | OG Pair on eBay

Did you catch the OG pair of Air Jordan VI Carmines on Sneaker News the other night? Here’s a look at another piece of AJ6 goodness from 1991 – the Off White/Maroon colorway that has never re-released in any form. The Maroon colorway was part of a lifestyle collection of Air Jordans and apparel as the colorway did not particularly match with the classic Chicago Bulls colorway. The maroon colorway gave the Air Jordan VI a more luxurious appeal despite being utilized in minute amounts on the midsole, heel ‘spoiler’ stripe, and on the tongue. Would you like for these to re-release, or are the Varsity Red and Infrared versions of 2010 enough to fill your appetite? Check out the detailed gallery of this rare piece of OG Air Jordan goodness below and check out the auction from member567534 on eBay.

Celebrity Feet: ATF Crew @ Sneakerpedia NYC Launch Event

A ‘Takeover’ would be a more fitting description of how the ATF Crew made their presence felt during last night’s Sneakerpedia NYC Launch Event. It was ‘Addicted to Fresh’ from front to back, as the event was hosted by Mayor, DJ music was provided by DJ Clark Kent and DJ Greg Street, and Bun B added in a live show. Let’s get right to the kicks; Mayor wore his heralded Nike SB Dunk Force 1 Paris, DJ Clark Kent rocked a Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Super DJ’, DJ Greg Street wore the super-limited Nike Dunk High ‘Wu-Tang’, Bun B wore his Space Jam Bespokes, and All Day did a great job at standing out with his Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Camo’. Check out the ATF Crew and their sneakers below and vote for your favorite at the very end!
