Air Jordan VI White Maroon | OG Pair on eBay

Did you catch the OG pair of Air Jordan VI Carmines on Sneaker News the other night? Here’s a look at another piece of AJ6 goodness from 1991 – the Off White/Maroon colorway that has never re-released in any form. The Maroon colorway was part of a lifestyle collection of Air Jordans and apparel as the colorway did not particularly match with the classic Chicago Bulls colorway. The maroon colorway gave the Air Jordan VI a more luxurious appeal despite being utilized in minute amounts on the midsole, heel ‘spoiler’ stripe, and on the tongue. Would you like for these to re-release, or are the Varsity Red and Infrared versions of 2010 enough to fill your appetite? Check out the detailed gallery of this rare piece of OG Air Jordan goodness below and check out the auction from member567534 on eBay.

Celebrity Feet: ATF Crew @ Sneakerpedia NYC Launch Event

A ‘Takeover’ would be a more fitting description of how the ATF Crew made their presence felt during last night’s Sneakerpedia NYC Launch Event. It was ‘Addicted to Fresh’ from front to back, as the event was hosted by Mayor, DJ music was provided by DJ Clark Kent and DJ Greg Street, and Bun B added in a live show. Let’s get right to the kicks; Mayor wore his heralded Nike SB Dunk Force 1 Paris, DJ Clark Kent rocked a Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Super DJ’, DJ Greg Street wore the super-limited Nike Dunk High ‘Wu-Tang’, Bun B wore his Space Jam Bespokes, and All Day did a great job at standing out with his Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Camo’. Check out the ATF Crew and their sneakers below and vote for your favorite at the very end!

Air Jordan 3 Retro True Blue 2011 New Photos

The reason basically nobody is remarking on why the Air Jordan III Retro ‘True Blue’ is being released again just two years after the last time it hit store shelves is because 2009′s True Blues were an International-only release.  That means that sneakerheads in the US where basketball kicks are king didn’t even get a fair crack at getting a pair, so many if not most are salivating at the chance to get one during the models’ 23rd anniversary year.  This time around, everybody around the world will see their favorite stores stock these around the time, like Sweden’s Caliroots who are counting down the minutes until the June 4th release date.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium Reign in Blood New Photos

Much has been made of the upcoming Nike SB Dunk High ‘Reign in Blood’, but why does Brooklyn Projects’ second Nike SB collaboration look so different from the first?  BP owner and founder Dom DeLuca says an ex-employee dropped the ball on the first Brooklyn Projects x Nike SB Dunk, so he designed the entire Slayer-themed Dunk himself.  DeLuca worked closely with Nike SB on everything from the rugged denim, suede and leather design to the packaging and release date and from the looks we’ve seen so far, his labor of love was well worth the work.  Click through to see some new photos of the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Slayer’ and stick with Sneaker News for more including the US release date.  via LTD

Nike Air Griffey Max II Midnight Navy Chlorine Blue | Available

With the upcoming release of the OG Freshwater colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1, the recent release of the Air Max JR, and news of yet another Griffey hybrid in the Air Max Griffey Fury, the Air Griffey Max II has fallen into the shadows just a bit. The Freshwater Griffey Max II is still widely available (not as quick of a sell-out as the Air Griffey Max 1), but perhaps another fresh colorway will help boost its esteem. The Midnight Navy/Chlorine Blue colorway could be likened to the Mariners older uniforms, although a hint of yellow might be needed. You can find these now at your local Nike Sportswear retailer like Extra Butter so continue reading for another look and pick up a pair now on eBay.

Air Jordan XI IE Low White Black | New Photos

Was the Air Jordan XI IE Low the original ‘Quick Fused’ Air Jordan release?  Both the XI IE and the AJ2011QF are slightly altered versions of their flagship predecessor that feature increased ventilation atop a familiar sole design, but the XI takes it a bit further by cutting the height down below the ankle.  And despite these little wrinkles, it seems crazy that we’re only now seeing this ‘Concord’-style colorway fifteen years after the originals, but that just goes to prove that Jordan Brand has a huge variety of options on deck at any moment.  Click through to see more angles of the white/black AJXI IE Low and if you want to grab yours before they hit retail, check out the limited run currently available from kickslab.

Nike SB Eric Koston Bobblehead

You know you’ve reached a certain iconic status when there’s a bobblehead made after you. Nike Skateboarding is set to release Eric Koston’s pro model, the Nike SB Zoom Koston 1, very soon, and select skateshops have been stocking this neat Eric Koston x Nike SB Bobblehead Doll. Koston appears to be wearing not his own sig shoe, but what appears to be his beloved black/white/gum Nike SB Dunk Highs, matching the oversized Nike SB hat on his abnormally large noggin. If you’ve got a mean bobblehead collection that would make Dwight Schrute jealous, check with your local Nike SB account soon to try to get your hands on one of these great collectible promo pieces. via Premier/N-SB

Ronnie Fieg x Asics GT II Ultra Marine

Earlier this month Sneaker News showed you a teaser preview of Ronnie Fieg’s next Asics project, which circles around the Asics GT-II. Here’s a detailed look at the upcoming collaborative release (that’s if you can in fact concentrate on the shoes); nicknamed the ‘Ultra Marine’, this Asics GT-II features a buttery-soft suede upper in a rich blue paired with an aqua tone on the Asics logo. Ther perforated sections on the upper also add a luxurious yet sporty touch, which is a description that can be applied to any of Ronnie Fieg’s Asics collaborations. Enjoy the visual treat of the Asics GT-II on model Bibiana Julian as well a shot of Ronnie Fieg wearing ‘em at yesterday’s Sneakerpedia NYC Launch Event below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for release info.
