Nike Hypershox 2011 Wolf Grey White Sport Red

There haven’t been too terribly many new Nike Basketball releases with Shox cushioning in the past few years, possibly connected with the fact that only two NBA players were spotted rocking them as recently as last season.  But this year was different with a revival of big men wearing the pillar-soled sneakers and preview images revealing that next season will see Shox paired with what figures to be among the league’s most popular models.  The Nike Hypershox 2011 can be succinctly described as the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 plus Shox in the heel, the futuristic Fuse uppers a worthy match to next generation Air Shox.  This first grey, red and white colorway looks to be one of the first of the model also referred to as (Air) Shox Hyperballer (2011), and though the retail release remains a while off, you can see some detailed images after the jump and grab a few sizes early from Kicks-lab.

Jordan SC 2

Arriving at retailers this July is the , follow-up to the Jordan SC-1 that debuted last year. The Jordan SC-1 was most recognized for its super-high tongue and the use of the classic Air Jordan III midsole, so is the SC-2 any different? No longer do we see the AJ3 midsole, but an updated version of the Air Jordan IV midsole that we saw in the Jordan Flight 9 (which also debuted last year). Additional details include the unique perforated panel on the upper and the use of elephant print on the heel guard. These three colorways will become available in July at Jordan Brand retailers, so take a look at all three below and let us know what you think.

NBA Feet: 2011 Playoffs Heat vs. Bulls Game 5 Recap

On July 8th, 2010, made a public announcement on ESPN, wearing a red and white checkered shirt and some Nike Toki Mids, to make known his decision – one that would change the NBA horizon for the next decade. What resulted was a public backlash, labeling the player who was once a king as a Judas – a traitorous individual who would forsake his people without looking back. has made it clear time and time again that his ‘decision’ was based on professional success, and recently apologized for the way the whole ordeal transpired, but in the end, what matters is that the decision was the right one, because is back in the NBA Finals, joining his teammates and Chris Bosh.

The road to the Finals was not an easy one; constantly under the eye of public scrutiny, the Miami Heat were not the record-breaking juggernaut everyone assumed they would be, as they managed to win an impressive yet underwhelming 58 regular season wins, a far cry from the 72 wins set by the Chicago Bulls in the ’95-’96 season. Still, the Miami Heat, who captured the number-2 seed in the Eastern Conference, steamrolled through the Playoffs and won when it truly mattered (up to this point), and a rematch of the 2006 Finals is now set. For this fifth and final game of the ECF, LeBron James debuted an all-new PE colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 PS, a two-toned black and red colorway that matched the Heat’s away uniform. Dwyane Wade wore the ‘Away’ PE of the Jordan Fly Wade, and Mike Miller switched over to the Zoom KD III ‘Blackout’. The 2011 NBA Finals are now set, so check out the Game 5 recap below and stick with Sneaker News for NBA Feet coverage of the Finals. via Yahoo!.

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Aron Dayar

Simplicity is a concept tough to grasp when creating a Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke, but here’s a look at the latest creation to come out of the 21 Mercer studios – a , designed by Aron Dayar, inspired by the Houston Astros. Simple is key, as the basic black upper is matched with a white swoosh and heeltab, but take a closer look and you’ll see contrasting materials of wool and diamond-embossed leather. The midsole takes on a solid grey with a translucent outsole, and the interior is lined with elephant print for an contrast to the tonal colorway. The slightest hints of orange are seen on the uppermost lace eyelet, the first ‘A’ on the AIR insignia, and a unique tongue, which features nothing more than an orange star stitched on black leather. Check out more of Aron Dayar’s Bespoke below and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII x Air Penny 1 Heroes Pack | Available on eBay

Before some observers started referring to as “the next (or a bigger) Magic Johnson”, the last successor to Earvin’s point forward throne was Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway.  At his peak, Penny was an All-NBA superstar with a signature sneaker line few could match, and he remains one of ’ heroes.  So it was natural to see the Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘Heroes Pack’ integrate a nod to Hardaway, though somewhat shocking that this perfectly executed takeoff didn’t release.  Modeled after the Air Penny 1, this AML7 was slated to hit along with the also-nixed Deion Sanders and Michael Jordan-inspired pairs, but their absence means the US size 10.5 currently available from hyperstrike_718 earns some major points for scarcity.  Click through to see some more angles and let us know if you’re gonna place a bid on this auction from hyperstrike_718 on eBay.

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Customs by Jason Negron

’s last custom project involved a ‘simple’ swap of the outsoles of his two Foamposite shoes. For his next endeavor, he dove in brush in hand on a pair of Air Griffey Max 1s to create his own personal take on the OG colorway of Ken Griffey Jr’s first signature shoe. In what could be called a ‘reverse’ of the soon-to-release Freshwater colorway, Jason applied the vibrant teal pigment on the primary upper panels, using black as an offsetting color on the upper and midsole. White laces match the ’24′ on the strap, swoosh (forefoot and heel), ‘NIKE’ insignia on the medial side of the strap, and on the ‘eyelids’ located above the visible Air windows on the midsole. Do you like these better than the OG colorway? Check out Jason Negron’s completed work after the jump and hit up his Facebook Page or through Packer Shoes to get in touch.
