Ronnie Fieg is hitting his stride as one of the industry’s most respected collaborators, so why is he pulling a Kevorkian on his career? According to Fieg’s Twitter feed, it’s “RIP internets. Not answering any questions,” about what could potentially be his last collaboration with Japanese athletic brand Asics. It was only about an hour before that ‘warning’ that he let the world know the latest Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “is coming in 3-4 weeks. [And] it will be [his] last footwear release at David Z.” Bittersweet news on the heels of the ‘Ultra Marine’ GT-II’s release, but at least he knows it’s better to burn out than fade away. Click through to see more, let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for the latest Ronnie Fieg-designed Gel Lyte III’s nickname and release date.

Cove 2.0. Why is that hinting at his last collab w/ asics?

Gash colour up. Nowhere near the Coves, Slam Jams or Zillions
Will sell on hype alone.

This isn't his last collab with asics, its his last asic tie in with the retailer David Z, he will be working on his own brand, possiblly his own webstore or capsule collections.

i dont think hes hinting at it being last asics release. It seems more so his last asics release through Davidz. Probably will be moving onto selling them through his own site like he did with sebagos
btw….MESH TOEBOX FTW!

^Stated otherwise in the writeup though. I understand that its his last release with david z since is he opening his own store, but I can't see him working on his own brand.
