There’s no denying the classic appeal of models like the Nike Air Force 1 or the Air Jordan Legacy, but you’d be equally hard pressed to come up with a shoe that more fully represents all-American brand identity than the Chuck Taylor. We’ve seen the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star in a variety of all-over flag prints over the years, but this latest duo of All Star Premium lowtops keeps the stars and bars to their sockliners. The pack as a whole still has a patriotic vibe, though, thanks to the use of deep red or dark navy blue leather uppers atop all-white soles. Click through to see more of both pairs and look for these at select One Star retailers soon. via Dunk

"stars and bars" is a term that refers to the CONFEDERATE flag. in this article you use it to reference the red white and blue.
are you an american, unnamed sneakernews author responsible for this article? if so, slap yourself.

If Nike own Converse why do they get to make premium Chuck GR's with no hype but any new Nike's with good material have to be ultra limited?
