Nike Training offered a ton of chunky-soled, Max Air-cushioned crosstrainers in the latter part of the 90s. Models like the Air Griffey Max 1 are typical of the aggressive style and the Nike Air Butane Max comes through with the same look. These have been overshadowed for years and will likely remain a relative sleeper with the wide variety of fresh and retro trainers on the way, but you can’t deny the appeal of this simple colorway done up in a rich tumbled leather.
