Tony Alva belongs to a select crew in the history of skateboarding, the legendary Z-Boys of California who changed the face of skating forever. Of course they usually did it rocking Vans, one of the first big brands to recognize the importance of skate culture at an early onset. This new collaboration between Tony Alva and Vans comes in the form of the 106 Pro, a lowtop model seen here with a monochrome canvas upper constructed out of recycled materials. These have some great little details that help them come together, inlcuding the contrastive lining and the rubber trim found on the toebox. The shoe sits on top of a sleek black rubber sole, the sort of flat footed masterpiece that helped skaters like Alva change the game in the 70’s and 80’s. Hit the jump to get a better look at both the blue and beige pair, both of which are available now at Vans.
