Missoni already used Converse’s most popular model in a series of collaborations over the past couple years, so for their latest project, the Italian fashion house turned to a considerably more obscure silhouette. Just be honest for a second: do you own a pair of Converse Auckland Racers yet? This insane new Missoni-designed pair might change that answer to yes, this 1970s runner having never looked crazier than these two pairs in its five decades of existence. The material on these looks highly texturized, which leads us to believe they wouldn’t be all that great for actual running purposes, but for running the streets, there’s not a whole lot out there that’ll draw double-takes like these babies. Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible retail release (though unfortunately, it seems unlikely as of this writing).
