Nike Air Max 90 – Black – Varsity Maize – White | Available

The LIVESTRONG collection, the collaboration between Nike Sportswear and Lance Armstrong, was a distinct set of releases as a result of the immediately recognizable color combo that Lance was repping at the time. While those killer releases have come and gone, these Air Max 90′s certainly would have been right at home with the other gear from that pack, with the colorway of Black/Varsity Maize/White/Medium Grey looking instantly familiar. We first hit you with a preview of these Nike Air Max 90′s a couple months back and they are impacting slightly before our predicted July release date. Hit the jump to take a full look at this Air Max 90 and head over to Nikestore to grab your pair now.

Air Jordan V Retro Quai 54 Black | New Images

Yesterday, DJ Clark Kent brought us our first look at the special black promo edition of the Air Jordan V Quai 54. Only 54 pairs were given out to some of Jordan Brand’s favorite folks, and it appears that noted sneakerhead and frequent Jordan rocker, Fabolous was lucky enough to get on the list, joining DJCK and Fat Joe. Fabolous is scheduled to head to Paris shortly to perform at the Quai 54 tournament, so it appears that his pair will be well earned, but who else was on this envy-inducing gift list? Guess we’ll have to wait to see where the rest pop up, but for now, check out another look at Fab’s after the jump, and if you want a pair of the white version a week early, you can find them now on eBay.

Air Jordan VII Hare OG Pair on eBay

Last night Sneaker News showed you one of the most unique pairs of the Air Jordans ever made – the Hare Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’. It was made specifically for Bugs Bunny’s furry feet and super-wide toes, but before that version was made, another Air Jordan colorway was designed with Michael’s furry friend in mind. The Air Jordan VII in the White/Light Silver-True Red colorway featured a few other bright colorways on the tongue that gave off a ‘Looney Tunes’ effect of sorts, and was later nicknamed the ‘Hare’ for its semblance to Bugs. The Air Jordan VII ‘Hare’ was never re-released until 2008, when it was chosen as the representative colorway of the AJ7 for the Collezione Package. This OG pair is about as pristine as you can get with a pair of 19-year-old shoes, so check out the gallery of images of this vintage piece after the jump and hit up the auction from bailiwyck on eBay.

Air Jordan Lace Swapped Collection

Many Air Jordan purists prefer to leave their sneakers in their original state, as Michael used to wear ‘em. Some might say that swapping out laces is a ‘no-no’ and that they should be worn they way they’re packaged in the box, but take for example the Air Jordan V in Black/Metallic Silver; while they come with black laces, at times, Michael actually wore them with white ones, matching the white stitching on the ’23′ on the heel. With that said, lace-swapping is an easy way to rejuvenate an old pair of kicks or to give a new pair an added pop. But while it may be easier to do that on a simpler shoe like the Air Max 1 or Nike Dunk, it’s starting to become a slightly more common practice with Air Jordans now that new colorways are popping up with every Retro release. NT member dankenstien88 recently showed off his impressive Air Jordan collection, all of which feature alternate lacing, so check out his collection below and let us know if you think swapping out laces for an Air Jordan shoe is acceptable or blasphemous.

Celebrity Feet: Wiz Khalifa Air Jordan III True Blue

Wiz Khalifa continues his rise up the Sneaker News Celebrity Feet power rankings with yet another appearance in some Air Jordans, as he rocked the True Blue IIIs during a live performance at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA. Wiz wore the True Blues once before during an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park roughly two weeks ago, and since then he’s been spotted in the Air Jordan VII Cardinal. We’ve got more images of Wiz Khalifa in the Air Jordan III True Blue after the jump, so take a look and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Mariners Emerald | New Photos

Some would argue that the Colorado Rockies and Florida Marlins represented the epitome of early ’90s baseball aesthetics thanks to their use of unprecedented colors, but around the same time those teams were added to Major League Baseball in 1993, another team that’d been around a bit longer decided to change up their look as well.  The Seattle Mariners switched from the royal and gold look they’d sported since the team’s inception in 1977, to a teal-accented navy and silver look that better fit the team’s oceanic theme.  And along with this switch came the opportunity for a range of Ken Griffey Jr. trainers in the same color scheme, one that served to keep Nike’s early-’90s exuberance alive while allowing for some progress.  The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 came 3 years later, the above pictured colorway a near perfect reproduction of the ’96 original, save its use a color-inverted midsole plus Freshwater on the heel Swoosh instead of red.  Click through for a closer look at the ‘Mariners Emerald’ Air Griffey Max 1s via an AGS video featuring a different kind of ‘training’, and stick with Sneaker News for the exact release date.

Stussy x Nike Sky Force 88 Mid Official Images

Shawn Stussy’s eponymous clothing label has been around for longer than many if not most Sneaker News readers, so if Nike Sportswear ever wanted to find a collaborator to add some shine to a classic basketball model, there are few brands better capable of doing so.  We’ve already seen them put out Blazers, Court Forces and All Courts, so the Stussy x Nike Sky Force ’88 Mid seems like a logical progression despite the brand being associated with surfing and skate culture.  But they’re also known to be intimately connected with golden era hip-hop, too, so this half-camo/half-tonal four-pack can be seen as an amalgam of all these influences.  Click through to see more shots of all four pairs of Stussy Sky Forces scheduled to release in July and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.

Jordan Alpha 3% Hoop

In 1999, Jordan Brand unveiled the Jordan 3 Percent, a Team Jordan shoe that signified Michael Jordan’s unparalled work ethic and training regimen. The ’3 Percent’ comes from body-fat count that Michael maintained during his playing days, an astounding state of physical fitness which has had a direct result in six of his NBA Championships. In July, Jordan Brand will re-release the Jordan 3 Percent with some changes – namely the visible Max Air unit on the heel and redesigned upper detailed etchings on the midsole. Three colorways will drop next month – Black/Red, White/Grey/Blue, and White/Black/Gold – so continue reading for a thorough look at all three and let us know what you think of the new Jordan Alpha 3% Hoop.

Jordan CP3 Advance White Black Red

Jordan Brand athlete Chris Paul just wrapped up the fourth installment of his signature line with the Jumpman, but before the debut of the CP3.V, the summer season will feature the Jordan CP3 Advance – a retooled version of the Jordan CP3.IV. The advancement comes in the form of a carbon-fiber composite stability wing at the midfoot and medial toe guard, allowing for greater torsional control while reducing the weight of the shoe. Some of the design elements remain, like the Jumpman logo at the heel and the Podulon technology on the midsole. These are expected to hit Jordan Brand retailers soon as they’ve already arrived overseas, so check out the detailed images below and let us know what you think of the CP3 Advance. via SoleMovement.

Nike SB Dunk Low UK Passport

Sneaker News first previewed this burgundy and gold colorway of the Nike SB Dunk Low back in mid-January, which we now know as one of the two colorways of the ‘Passport Pack’. The Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Passport Pack’ includes two basic two-toned colorways of the low-top SB Dunk with colorways taking after official passports from the UK and the US. The Burgundy/Gold colorway takes after the former, with the pebbled/tumbled suede mimicking the texture seen the covers of the inter-continental travel passes. A U.S. version in navy and grey will drop later this year, but you can catch the UK Passport version at select Nike SB retailers like Primitive right now as an in-store only ‘Below The Line’ release.
