Air Jordan XIV Light Graphite Midnight Navy Black | On Foot Images

Yesterday Sneaker News showed you an upcoming Retro release of the Air Jordan XIV in the Light Graphite/Midnight Navy-White colorway. We made the quick connection to the Georgetown Hoyas, which has been a Jordan Brand sponsored NCAA Team for some time, but these releases aren’t specific to that school. This second ‘on-foot’ image of the Air Jordan XIV sheds a bit more light on the overall profile of the shoe, which consists of the Light Graphite tonal upper with black contrast stitching, a Black midsole, and Midnight Navy on the visible midfoot plate as well as on surrounding details. Check out another look below and let us know what you think of this new colorway, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for more information regarding this October 2011 release. via hoopchina.

Air Jordan V Black Metallic Silver @ Kicks Crew

The Air Jordan V and VII have shared the majority of 2011′s retro spotlight, and as the models that sandwiched Michael Jordan’s first NBA Championship campaign, they come off quite differently.  The Sevens are known for their role in MJ’s second chip, his second Olympic gold medal and their connections to pop culture, but the Fives recall a hungrier time for Mike, before he ever got a taste of that most satisfying Gatorade bath.  The Air Jordan V Retro in black nubuck with Metallic Silver accents, then, is a relic from the last time Jordan couldn’t get past the Pistons, a symbol of the hard work and determination a certain modern day NBA star would do well to channel.  And lucky for us sneakerheads, one of the great OG Air Jordan Legacy colorways will hit retailers in time for the back to school season, which means it’s even better news that these joints just popped up early from Kicks-crew.

Jordan Alpha 3 Percent Black Varsity Red White

While it’s not unheard of to take a turf trainer and adapt it to basketball purposes (the Nike Zoom Don comes to mind), it’s more common to see a kid wearing trainers on-court than to see designers create a full-on crossover.  So that’s a big part of what makes the Jordan Alpha 3 Percent special, a model based on the 3 Percent turf shoe that hit retailers in 1999, and one that we saw Mike Bibby wearing in the Miami Heat backcourt during the 2011 NBA Playoffs.  This pair pictured above is the same colorway Bibby was pictured wearing in away games in our NBA Feet column, and now you can grab them from select Jordan Brand retailers like FinishLine or get your pair on eBay.

Celebrity Feet: NBA Draft Prospects in NYC

If you’re a first-round hopeful, it’s an NBA Draft Night tradition to attend the annual event dressed sharply. The late-June evening at Madison Square Garden is a life-changing experience for some of these youngsters, so when one’s name is called up to stage, he’d want to look his best. That’s why Sean John, the urban fashion label owned by Sean Combs aka P. Diddy, is outfitting some NBA Draft attendees in some fine suits. Kyrie Irving, Alec Burks, James Ihedigbo, and Jan Vesely were present for the Sean John NBA Pre-Draft Fine Tailoring and Gifting Experience, where they were showered with goodies and fine threads. Some arrived in some notable sneakers – Irving in some crisp white Air Force 1 Lows, Burks in some Air Max 95s, and Ihedigbo in Cool Grey XIs. The prospects also hosted a basketball clinic for Special Olympics Athletes in New York, where Irving was spotted with True Blue IIIs, Kemba Walker sported the Taxi XII Low, and Derrick Williams wore the Pearl Foamposites. The 2011 NBA Draft is tonight, so check out the draft prospects at the event after the jump and let us know who you think will be drafted number 1!

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Team Nike NYC

If you caught our look at Nike Sportswear’s ‘Always On’ Ice Cream Truck yesterday, you might have noticed that the first place that rolled off the list of stops in the teaser video was ‘DYCKMAN’, as in Dyckman Park, the NYC venue that hosts the self-proclaimed “Best streetball tournament in the NYC.”  But it’s not a tourney, rather, a single game that serves as the inspiration for this new Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 PE created for Team NIKE.  This collection of Swoosh-sponsored streetballers challenged 2010 Dyckman champs Take No Prisoners last night, and given that the Hyperfuse series was modeled on Beijing playground ball, you know they can stand up to the pressure of one of the world’s notable outdoor courts.  Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to the other Hyperfuse 2011 colorways we’ve seen so far and stick with Sneaker News for upcoming release dates.

Nike WMNS Air Max 1 Wolf Grey White Yellow

Why is it that so many Nike Air Max 1s for women seem to be so sweet?  It’s insanely frustrating for guys with feet to big too 1.5-up-size, especially with pairs like this impressive new Wolf Grey and white edition.  They feature a yellow top eyelet for just a little color, though you could just as easily swap out for the right shade of orange laces to turn these into a titanium torch.  Click through to see the latest excellent grey look from Nike Sportswear and grab yours from SneakerBaas.

Nike Air Rejuven8 Mule 3 AP Digi Camo Pack

Without so much as a preview, the Nike Air Rejuven8 Mule 3 hit retailers just in time for its breathable and lightweight design to offer a breath of fresh air this summer.  And for the second time in as many weeks, we have a new set of Air Rejuven8 Mule 3s to show you, and though this one might have a bit more lead-in time, you still might have trouble finding a pair.  That’s because these new digi-camo Rejuven8 Mule 3s are prefixed with the ‘AP’ denoting Asia-Pacific exclusive status.  It’s probably all for the best as this progressive series has seen better sales in the Asian market, though we’re certain a fair number of US sneakerheads will see to importing a pair.  Click through to see closer views of both pairs and stick with Sneaker News for updates regarding a possible stateside release date.  via Chapter Express

Gourmet x Thunder Burger Pop Up Shop

“Nothing is original.  Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination.”

Ok, sneakerheads, you have 10 seconds to come up with a guess as to which sneaker brand posted this as a part of a recent collaboration.  Time’s up; and no, we’re sorry, but the answer is not ‘A Bathing Ape’.  Instead, this message comes from an American-born brand that utilizes a process similar to BAPE’s to come up with their sneaker simulacra: Gourmet.  And since we’re talking about a brand named after fine foods that borrows its design cues from other prominent labels, what better an establishment with whom to collaborate than a Korean burger shop that has been compared to Fatburger?  The only way to improve upon that tightly-knit concept is to find inspiration in yet another California cow sammich distributor: In-N-Out Burger.  So if you happen to be in South Korea and need a new pair of kicks, hold the lettuce, check out the Gourmet x Thunder Burger pop-up shop in Soeul, images of which can be seen when you click on the jump below.  via SxH

Liberty of London x Nike WMNS Blazer Mid

A little over a week after our most recent look at upcoming releases from the latest Liberty of London x Nike Sportswear collaboration, another new model has hit retail.  The Nike Blazer Mid for women by Liberty has a very feminine look thanks to its unique floral print, and though the pink sections certainly stand out, there are a variety of complimentary shades that actually make up the bulk of the design.  Click through to get a closer look at these and look for them at the best NSW accounts like Cambridge, Mass’ Concepts.

Maharam x Nike Dunk High Black

How many Sneaker News readers out there remember exactly what happened on April 20th of this year?  Relax guys, this isn’t some kind of pop interrogation, but rather an allusion to the fact that the Maharam x Nike Dunk High has been conspicuous by its absence since the initial preview back on 4/20.  Since then, we’ve confirmed a released date for the Tennis Classics also previewed back in April, and now we can finally offer some more details on the Dunks.  And though they share the same leather and woven horse hair construction, this new Maraham Dunk High is quite different from the spring previews, its black design coming off considerably darker than the bronze look we expected.  Will the brown edition pop up as a retail release or has it been nixed at the sample stage?  We’ll find out soon enough, as the black Nike Dunk High by Maharam is set to release this summer, and you can see more angles when you click on the jump below.  via HB
