New Balance ML999 Navy White Grey

April was a huge month for the rarely seen New Balance 999, its Concepts-designed ‘Kennedy’ collabo among the year’s very best and two more classic colorways following suit just a couple weeks later.  But the NB almost-a-thousand has been absent since then, so we’re excited to see this new edition readying for retailers next month.  The New Balance ML999 will hit store shelves in July wearing a deep navy blue suede plus white and grey accents for a colorway that’s as versatile as you can get (just combine with black garments carefully/sparingly).  Click through for more angles and let us know how these compare to the other releases during what has been a particularly strong year for New Balance in 2011.  via EK

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star OX Denim Pack

Back at the start of the month, Converse released a new distressed denim pair of Chucks that had us recalling the fact they were the first denim All Stars released in quite a while.  Apparently someone at the One Star also realized the relative dearth of models crafted in the world’s most popular durable cotton material, so without further ado, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star OX Denim Pack.  This duo adds bold contrast stitching, leather details and rivets, including a ‘pocket’ on the heel to drive home the theme.  Click through to see closer views of the blue and black pairs, let us know which one you like better and look for these now at Converse retailers like RMK.

adidas Originals June 2011 Footwear @ Extra Butter

adidas Originals tends to rely less upon official release dates than Nike Sportswear, but here’s a case when a whole heap of new Three Stripes classics have come available at once.  When you’ve got a collection like this that runs the gamut of a brand’s heritage models, it can be hard to pick a standout model, so we’ll just start at the bottom of the list (in alphabetical order, that is) with a new adidas ZX500 in a colorway that would have been right at home in Philly around the model’s 1984 debut.  That rounds out the running category, but there are plenty more lowtops thanks to a duo of Gazelle IIs plus one Gazelle OG, the immortal Rod Laver and Stan Smith, and one pair of Campuses.  Rounding out the group are two newer designs, both lifestyle oriented midtops with basketball inspiration in the adiRise Mid and Roundouse Mid.  Click through for shots of the entire set and look for yours at select adidas Originals accounts like New York’s Extra Butter.

Air Jordan 8.0We’ve been out of the ’00s for nearly 18 months now, but don’t tell Jordan Brand.  Many fans simply wouldn’t want to see more of the Air Jordan Force Fusion series that came out toward the end of last decade, but judging by the feedback from the first point-oh’d Air Jordan Legacy model, this is one (somewhat jumbled) trip back in time that’s well-justified.  The Air Jordan 8.0 is unlike the 2.0 that came before it, but makes similarly significant improvements to its bulky 1993-born vamp in lieu of a shift in cushioning technology.  The legendary AJVIII ‘Aqua’ colorway will be reprised along with the OG home look that swaps its traditional True Red for the Varsity variety.  Click through for more of these Spring 2012 drops, let us know what you think of the latest Jordan Brand x.0 model and stick with Sneaker News for the Air Jordan 8.0 release date.  via EUkicks

Nike Air Max Barkley Action Red | Sample on eBay

Charles Barkley’s signature line with Nike during the 90′s stands as one of the greatest anomalies in footwear history. Signature footwear lines are typically dominated by slashing guards and high flyers, not by loud-mouth low-post enforcers. Big-men don’t make great pitch-men, but Barkley, although categorized as a power forward, had the height of a shooting guard and the charisma of a movie star. Even in his post-NBA career, Barkley continues to make headlines with his wise-cracking one-liners, which is why the Nike Barkley line is still popular today. One of the most popular Barkley shoes ever is the Nike Air Max2 CB ’94, and Sneaker News reported last month of a remastered version of the original simply titled the ‘Air Max Barkley‘. It’s the same Air Max2 CB ’94, but with a unique one-piece construction with Fuse-like material. It should make for a lighter, more breathable performance shoe, and this tonal Action Red colorway should be a big hit when it drops in 2012. Check out the new images below and if you like what you see, hit up the auction for the sample pair from ginogreen201 on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk Low Tweed Unreleased Sample

In 2004, Nike SB unleashed a high-top and low-top version of the Nike SB Dunk in a ‘Tweed’ motif, which featured a brown/tan suede colorway with a tweed wool material on the toe and heel of the shoe. It’s quite different from this sample version of the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Tweed’, which features more of a flannel plaid pattern and the use or red and navy blue. The ‘Tweed’ wool panels were obviously switched to the brown/tan version that released, so which of the two do you like better? Check out the images of this rare unreleased sample of the Nike SB Dunk (just 24 sample pairs exist) and check out the auction from slipsarecool on eBay.

Air Jordan III Chaos Customs

The ever-growing ‘Customs’ category on Sneaker News just got a bit heavier, thanks to this latest work by customizer Dank Customs. His recent works include the Air Max 90 ‘Stash’ and the Air Max Light ‘Homegrown’ (both of which were jaw-dropping in their own right), but this latest work combines two more recent topics – the Air Jordan III and the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Chaos’. The structure of the Air Jordan III remains, but the upper is painted in the chaotic Kobe VI colorway of Dark Purple, Neon Green, Bright Red, and Grey, adding speckling on the midsoles and a stripe of green on the bottom half of the midsole. Dank also created a custom box for this Jordan x Kobe project, combining the Jumpman logo with Kobe’s Shozoku emblem. Check out the extra images of this Air Jordan III ‘Chaos’ custom and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Trainer SC II High White Grey Black

Good things come to those who wait, and for those who sat patiently for the Nike Air Trainer SC II High, it’s been a long twenty years. The Air Trainer SC II High returned to store shelves earlier this year, bringing a smile to eager Nike Trainer fans who may have given up on a comeback of the SC II. Since the re-introduction of the Nike Trainer in 2009, Nike embarked upon a huge forward push of Nike Trainers both new and old, and when the Air Trainer SC was re-released two years ago, a Retro release of its follower seemed more and more possible. Well, the Air Trainer SC II High is here and OG Nike fans have found a rejuvenated sense of fandom, giving them all the more reason to cop as many colorways as possible, because who knows when the next Retro release would be. This new White/Grey/Black colorway follows the simple color-blocking seen in the OGs, and can be yours by visiting one of the auctions from JBseller on eBay.
