The Nike Dunk is known for its original two-toned palettes, their signature blocking pattern instantly bringing to mind the imperative ‘Be True to Your School’. So for their latest release, Nike Sportswear has managed to deviate from the OG formula but still come up with a distinctly classic feel on these two new high-contrast Nike Dunk Low releases. Two new Dunk Lows each feature black leather bases with white Swooshes to match their midsoles, the overlay sections cast in an accent shade and gaining some extra depth via all-over microperforations. The Air Jordan V Retro will release this Saturday in white leather with Radiant Green accents as the signature model for the 2011 Quai 54 International Streetball Tournament, but there’s another Quai54 AJ5 causing quite a stir at the moment. With its combination of dark good looks and excruciatingly limited availability (only 54 pairs exist), the black Quai 54 Air Jordan 5 is every bit as ‘Fabolous’ as the rapper who showed up in Paris wearing them over the weekend. Count Fab amongst a group of well-connected celebrity sneakerheads like Fat Joe and DJ Clark Kent who were able to get their hands on a pair, and click through to see some new photos courtesy of DJCK.

Just about one year ago, Nike Sportswear issued an ‘Omega Pack’ of classic runners and their updates celebrating the heritage of Nike Athletics West. All recent previews suggested that was a one-(season)-and-done deal, but out of nowhere today, two new Nike Air Max 1s have surfaced bearing the same swooping tongue tag. These new AM1s come in about as simple a colorblocking pattern as you could have for a two-toned design, these black/Smoke and white/silver pairs both ride white midsoles and can match almost any outfit you can create when you grab yours from NikeStore.

Earlier today, we showed you how MizzeeCustoms has once again applied a familiar colorway from another Air Jordan Legacy model to the AJ6 silhouette, this latest model drawing on its immediate successor. The Air Jordan VI ‘Raptor’ is quite similar to the ‘Bordeaux’ pair he crafted around the time of that classic pair’s retro release this spring, an AJVI inspired by an AJVII colorway and executed quite well. Miz started with the ‘Lakers’ AJ6s from early last year, a wise choice with its black base and purple accent stitching. But like several others, Mizzee chose to completely remove the unique stitching on this pair in favor of a black-on-black look whose reflective 3M overlay gives the familiar Raptors a new feel. Click through for some additional images and let us know how these compare to the rest of his and the other custom kicks profiled here on Sneaker News.

Despite missing what would have been his rookie season with a devastating knee injury, Blake Griffin returned in 2010-11 to submit one of the best freshman seasons the NBA has seen in recent memory. Blake rocked the rim no matter who was in his way, be it the massive Mosgov or the more moderately priced sized Kia, and it was the latter of those that made him a household name during February’s 2011 NBA All-Star. Griffin made his famous slam in a pair of Air Max Fly By PEs featuring the same red, black and neon design accented by a variety of ‘Blake-quake’ detailing that appears on the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 he wore during the All-Star Game. There’s one key difference between the game-issued pair and this new edition, though, with Griffin’s ‘BG32′ insignia having replaced the pulse graphic formerly inside the lateral heel counter window. Does that suggest that we could see this model make it to retail, perhaps as a House of Hoops exclusive? No word yet, but you can see more of this model after the jump and be sure to let us know if you’d buy them were Blake Griffin’s Zoom Hyperdunk 2011s to release in the coming months. Thanks r3tro

Sneaker customizer MizzeeCustoms is quickly becoming known as the go-to guy when you want to apply a beloved colorway to a new model. He seems to be particularly adept at working with the Air Jordan VI, having transformed it to resemble quite a few different Air Jordan Legacy colorways. And that list grows by two today, the first (stick with Sneaker News for the second later on) new addition being the AJ6 done up like the ‘White Cement’ Air Jordan IV that so many sneakerheads are excited to see come Q1 2012. Miz’ lucky customer won’t have to wait to rock his Cement splatter print soles, but how do you feel about these customs? Click through to see more angles and let us know how they compare to their muse, or Mizzee’s other special makeups.

SneakerMuseum opened in Cologne, Germany back in May, our first look inside depicting the initial exhibit that featured the Nike Dunk in all its historical glory. Those images showed you a glimpse into the items on display, but since it’s easy to be distracted by Dunk-iced cupcakes and only enough details to get your mouth watering, here’s a closer view into what you’d experience with a visit to this TGWO side project. ‘The Dunk: Celebrating Colors & Creativity’ shows you how this icon of athletic design turned aesthetic standard made its way through the last quarter century, a 1985 debut and 1998 resurrection leading to the groundbreaking Dunk Pro SB in 2002. Click through to see some of the greatest sneakers of the past decade and even further back, let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for your chance to visit the world’s best sneaker events. via Dunkbar

The original Nike Air Max Sensation is 90′s basketball model may not be as instantly recognizable as some of its contemporaries, but once you get a glance at them you know you’ve seen them somewhere before. Chances are that somewhere was the feet of Chris Webber, as this was his go to shoe when he was ballin’ in his heyday. Well Nike has updated this entry in the Air Max line in the form of the Nike Air Max Sensation 2011, using more recently developed materials to make this classic court ready again. The breathable Torch upper, 360 Max Air sole, and the bits of carbon fiber on the side windows brings this shoe forward in time like Marty McFly (think Part II). Hit the jump for more images of this blacked out colorway of the Nike Air Max Sensation 2011, and check out Wasistockts to grab your pair.
