“I’m collecting sneakers for, hmm I can’t remember how long . . . “
It’s pretty obvious when a guy named Fabian uses that kind of verb conjugation that he’s a native European, and in this video from the recently concluded Sneakerness Zurich event, Mr. Hoyois gives us a feel for what it was like for Euro sneakerheads in the early days. The video ‘In Mint Condition’ offers a rundown of Fabian’s collection along with his memories of how he couldn’t get the basketball shoes he’d seen on NBA telecasts. It’s the classic story of the European proclivity for running and tennis ‘trainers’, with a few extreme rarities tossed in for all you connoisseurs out there. Click through to see the video in its entirety, let us know how these compare to the other collections we’ve seen and stick with Sneaker News for more looks into the world’s best sneaker archives.

Nice, Frenchie has it right. Runners are more comfortable and only the realist sneaker heads know whats up- not not "underground" celebrity watchers!

Did yall notice how there's a Fred Meyers tag for the air max 90 infrared at the very end? Crazy never knew they were sold there.

OG runner heat! cool video and, as has been said above ,nice to see a different collection. unworn in box with price tags too. those infrareds were $110! that would have been quite a lot of dough back then when they dropped. now they retail for $95. crazy. of course quality would have been tight as hell back in '90 though and the technology on them would have been something else.

So dope. Great collection and lots of underrated hits in there. I'd personally love to see the Duelist come back as a retro. I love my J's as much as anyone, but it's stuff like this that reminds me (and probably a bunch of others) that 80's and 90's Nike runners were my first love and continue to be my main shit. A+ postvideo.
