If you were creating a project with dual automobile and insect themes, you’d have to be working with something related to the Volkswagen Beetle, right? Well, that was probably the case until Michael Bay’s Transformers helped to launch the redesigned Chevrolet Camero in 2007, using the oft yellow sports car as the new basis for the OG Autobot, Bumblebee. And by this point, the inspiration behind Diversitile’s Nike Dunk High ‘Bumble Bee’ custom should be clear, its ‘metal’-on-yellow look something like a look into the future where ODB is resurrected in a cyborg skeleton to rejoin the Wu-Tang Clan.
