Michael Jordan made some interesting comments last year regarding the apparent collusion among LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, who ‘secretly’ agreed to form a super-star team when the three ’03 Draft Class superstars became free agents during the 2010 offseason. Michael’s exact words: “There’s no way, with hindsight, I would’ve ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, ‘Hey, look, let’s get together and play on one team’”. They did, however, play together once (some Olympic team in 1992), but it appears that the Holy Trinity of legends will converge once again as the three will appear on alternate covers for the NBA 2K12 video game franchise. After the astounding success of NBA 2K11 (the competition didn’t even bother), repeating MJ as the coverboy would be a shrewd idea, and adding the two other legends (as well as other bonus covers for those who pre-order the game) would give other fans even more incentive to buy the game this October 4th considering the current state of the NBA lockout. Check out all three covers for the upcoming NBA 2K12 (as well as MJ’s Air Jordan XIII ‘Bred’) after the jump and let us know which of the three you like best.
