Nike SB Dunk Mid Un Tiffany New Images

There’s been quite a bit of buzz around Nike SB’s famed ‘Tiffany’ colorway this year, the palette made famous by Diamond Supply Co’s Dunk Low SB reappropriated for models like the Zoom Bruin SB and Eric Koston’s first Swoosh Skateboarding signature.  But it was upon the Dunk that the colorway was born so it seems fitting that if you were going to add a third pair to that list, it’d be the Nike SB Dunk Mid coming along in a reversed colorblocking scheme that’s been dubbed ‘Un-Tiffany’.  Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to the originals and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and the rest of the Nike SB spring 2012 footwear lineup.  via N-SB

Nike Dunk High GS Medium Grey Obsidian

During the middle of the month, Sneaker News showed you two new Dunks from Nike Sportswear that offer roughly opposite blocking patterns for the combination of Velvet Brown and Team Red.  This new Nike Dunk High features its canvas and leather sections in the same places as the hightop from that duo, but this Medium Grey and Obsidian pair comes off with a different feel thanks to the reinforced eyelets.  They’re all at once more rugged and less rustic than the red/brown joints and you can find them exclusively at England’s JD Sports.

Nike Bespoke Studio Headed to Nike Harajuku

There are few true Japan-exclusive sneaker releases these days with the prevalence of resellers and just good old fashioned networking, but here’s an announcement that pretty well ensures a small quantity of kicks that only could have been copped from Nike Harajuku in Tokyo.  That’s where the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke experience will once again set up a pop-up shop from August 24th to the 29th, this stint 50% longer than the 4-day stretch from roughly a year prior.  NIKEiD design consultant Iz will be on hand to guide buyers through the deluxe material options that’ll be in play, so click through to see some of what’s in store and stick with Sneaker News for some looks at the highlights from this special six day run.

Sneaker Con Washington DC August 6 & 7

2011 has seen more sneaker-related events in the first six-plus months than in previous years, the rest of the calendar showing that this will be the most densely-packed year for kicks fiends in history.  Among the growing list of expanding meetups is Sneaker Con, the New York born gathering that has traveled all up and down the I-95 corridor in ’11 and will return to the nation’s capitol on August 6th AND 7th.  That’s right DMV sneakerheads, this time around is not only the second DC Sneaker Con in 2011, but also the first back-to-back event after the Miami stop on July 30th, plus the first to stretch across two days, taking over the Atlas Performing Arts Center on Saturday and Sunday, August 6th and 7th.  Sneaker Con partners like adidas Originals, DTLR and Chivalrous Culture are sure to have more in store and you gotta figure they’ll look to top previous events, as should you.  Come through with heat, get your buy/sell/trade on and fellowship with your sneaker brethren and be sure to stick with Sneaker News to see if you spot yourself or your friends in our detailed event recap soon to follow.

Air Jordan III Black Cement 2000/2008/2011 Retro Comparison
We stand just on the other side of the midway point of 2011 and it’s clear that the biggest Air Jordan III release coming later this year is the ‘Stealth’ edition in tonal grey with bred accents.  What’s that you say?  The ‘Black Cement’ AJ3 is clearly the most significant of the two remaining colorways?  You’re probably right but the ‘Stealth’ clearly beats the 1988-born OGs in terms of novelty, as the Black Cements have released twice before during this short century alone — people simply cannot get enough of this shoe.  2000′s release is notable as the last with ‘NIKE AIR’ on the heels, an insignia replaced by the Jumpman for this year’s along with the 2008 CDP version.  We have a variety of images after the jump so you can play ‘I Spy’ among the various tiny differences (note the complete absence of nubuck), so click through and let us know which pair was your favorite, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates on this Black Friday release.  via mjo23dan

adidas Pro Model 2011

The adidas Pro Model series has shown up in a variety of designs over the past few years ranging from the original shelltoed design to the 2010 version that offered a more technical approach.  And with adidas Basketball’s adiZero Crazy Light causing such a stir in recent months with its featherweight construction, it was only natural to see the latest version take on some of the same technical elements.  Check out the new adidas Pro Model 2011, a slight 12.7 oz design that employs SprintSkin technology to slash weight off this patent leather trio while gaining some reinforcement from the TPU side panel stripes.  Click through to see the red, green and blue pairs and look for these at select Three Stripes retailers worldwide.  via SoleMovement

adidas Originals ZX 700 White Orange Blue

It’s not as common as some of Three Stripes’ other classic runners, but it seems like whenever a new adidas Originals ZX 700 hits retailers, it’s cause for celebration.  An insane purple suede pair popped up in July and though those have yet to hit retailers, another bold ZX700 has just released.  They’re not all-over monochromatic suede like the other joints but rather a melange of Miami Dolphins-leaning colors on a bed of leather and mesh plus suede on the toebox.  Click through to see more angles and pick up a pair today from SNS.

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Freshwater | Available on eBay

If the Seattle Mariners one day change their uniform and logo colors, then their 1993-born palette will be as strongly identified with Ken Griffey Jr. as the Seahawks’ old garb is with Steve Largent.  Griffey played a huge role in making the perinneal cellar dwellers into contenders in the mid/late ’90s and though they failed to repeat on 1995′s miracle year the following season, ’96 was among Junior’s finest, with a 49-HR season foreshadowing three consecutive AL-leading totals to close out the decade.  He crushed the ball that year, ‘ran for president’ and played some of the 90s best center field while wearing the Nike Air Griffey Max 1, which has returned with its Deep Emerald color renamed to the more familiar (at least at this point in history) Freshwater.  Click through to see more of the OG Air Griffey Max 1 and look for a pair at Nike Sportswear retailers like jbseller on eBay.
