The Nike SB Zoom Koston 1 featured a hidden Lunar insole embedded inside the shoe, but this funky version of the Nike SB P-Rod V proudly features the Lunar running cushioning footbed. It’s a simple sole-swap of the P-Rod V, with the upper slightly modded to fit the voluptuous and curvy shape of the Lunar outsole, and according to DJ Clark Kent, who graced us with this picture, these are expected to release as a Hyperstrike. Check out the extra image below and let us know what you think of this Lunar-laden P-Rod V shoe. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on additional release info as it emerges.

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski offers a ‘grown up’ option for the skater, but this funky new Janoski variety might bring you back to your pre-pubescent days (or teen years, for those who were a little lagging). Check out the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Velcro, given an ‘SE’ designation; we first showed you this shoe in early June, and it looks like these may hit retailers soon because they have popped up for sale on eBay. If you need to give these a second thought, check out the new images of this Black/White colorway after the jump, and once a decision is made, head on over to the auctions from sole_cartel on eBay.

When we see unreleased samples of the Nike LeBron 8, we normally think they are in the possession of topdog sneakerheads like DJ Clark Kent and Mayor of the ATF Crew. Those two individuals have caused rabid jealousy in the sneaker world by giving us glimpses of their LeBron 8s that have never released, but this latest unreleased and never-before-seen sample has popped up from an eBay seller (but if any of the ATF Crew members has this pair, show us!). Here’s a detailed look at an unreleased sample of the LeBron 8 V/2 in two tones of green with a white trim; the upper is owned by a tonal Victory Green hue, with accents of Electric Green on the outsole, Max Air, swoosh border, and laces. One interesting detail is the insoles of the shoes, which appears to be a silhouette of LeBron James dunking over a tall center. Were these the original Dunkmans with a new logo? Continue reading for a thorough look at this sick Spring 2011 sample colorway and let us know if you’d cop if they ever released. If you want to add these size 9s to your stash, head on over to the auction from rekha085 on eBay.

While their big ad campaign featuring Chicago’s wonder kid Derrick Rose may be over now that the NBA season has come to a close, adidas still seems to be all in on the adidas AdiZero Crazy Light. While we haven’t had a chance set them on a scale ourselves, at 9.8 ounces this sneaker boasts the most lightweight construction among all its contenders, taking a shot at the throne of basketball sneakers currently occupied by Nike. This new colorway of the adidas AdiZero Crazy Light goes for a simple two tone set up we’ve seen on many an adidas Originals model throughout the years. Continue reading for more photos of these, which are available for preorder now at Finishline. Also, let us know in the comments if you think this sneaker has a chance at stealing some of the limelight away from the boys in Beaverton.

There are Air Jordan 2.0 and 8.0s and those are the offspring of the Alpha 1, but if you ask Jordan Brand for an Alpha 3, you’ll get something entirely different. Though to be fair, the Jordan Alpha 3 Percent is indeed in keeping with the Alpha AJ1′s premise, as it upgrades a classic Jumpman silhouette with cutting edge performance technology. But interestingly enough, the original 3% was not a basketball shoe, but rather a cross-trainer, this new black and Stealth colorway one of those simple pleasures that’d look good on the shoe no matter its intended purpose. Click through to see some more angles and pick up a pair of ‘Blackout’ Alpha 3%s at FinishLine.

When you’re as influential and longstanding as Nike, it’s only natural to see most if not all other sneaker manufacturers borrowing a little of what works best. Many of these designs refer to the Air Jordan Legacy, and while Jordan Brand has recently put out similarly named deluxe releases, the Vans Vault Premio Leather Pack is connected as a function of that quality alone. These four new releases carry that unmistakable Off the Wall style, albeit with a lux touch thanks to the rich brown and black leather in use. We’ve been through this before, haven’t we? As recently as this past April, another ‘hyped’ Nike SB Dunk release was rumored to be cancelled due to copyright mumbo-jumbo, leading to a hike in prices on eBay. Just a few weeks after the originally set release date of April 20th, the Cheech and Chong SB Dunk High was in fact released to the public. A similar path is being taken by the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Light Out’, designed to commemorate the final season of the widely-popular hit show Entourage. After initial reports of a quickstrike ‘GR’ release later in the year was rumored, SB Dunk fans were disappointed to hear that this shoe was strictly a Friends & Family product as HBO would not allow Nike to release a shoe with the trademark Entourage show logos. More recently, sneaker re-seller croatianstyle added fuel to the fire by tweeting a picture of his own personal stash of the Entourage Dunks, further confirming claims of a cancelled release.
However, new rumors of the possible release of the ‘Lights Out’ SB Dunk have surfaced; news of a possible August 2011 quickstrike release has been floating around, but more interestingly, a release on 11/11/11, pushed by Nike as well as the crew at Entourage, has been stirring about as well. One would think that all of this confusion/cancellation could be avoided by releasing the shoe without any of the Entourage symbolism, but based on previous tales from the Nike SB vault of unreleased specialty shoes, a ‘lite’ version may not occur. So what are your thoughts? Will these stay forever in the Friends & Family category and never be made available to the public, or do you have faith that Nike SB and the participants over at HBO will let these run free in the retail market? Check out the new images of the Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low courtesy of ShoeWolf and let us know what your thoughts are, and if you’re willing to pay up the big prices for a pair, check out the available pairs now on eBay.

Sneaker News was first to show you this special colorway of the Nike Trainer 1.3, which was created in partnership with EA Sports and the newly released EA Sports NCAA Football ’12. It paired a luxurious wool upper with a seamless molded toe-box and heel, and the finishing touches of a translucent outsole and chenille material on the swoosh and EA Sports tongue label made these Letterman jacket-inspired kicks one of the hottest Trainer releases of the year. Lucky you: these have begun to drop at footwear retailers like ShoeGallery, but expect these to pop up in a wider release soon because NikeTown retail locations have already begun to stock them as well. More images below, so take another look below and don’t miss out on this sick release.

Is Nike’s new Blue Recall shade a hint at reflected light ‘remembering’ what it was like to be moving just a tiny bit faster? Because the newly introduced shade is about as close to purple as you can get and still call it blue. Turns out it looks quite nice in leather against the black suede body of a Nike SB Blazer Low, and a white vulcanized sole finishes off the simply satisfying design. Click through to see more angles, let us know if this August 2011 release is too subdued for you or if they’re right up your alley, and look to grab them from a Nike SB retailer like the UK’s Flatspot.

Sneaker News just alerted you to the availability of the ‘Think Pink’ LeBron Soldier V, its Pinkfire Light shade the third in the series after Pinkfire II made the ‘Think Pink’ Hyperdunk 2010 into more of a metallic torch than a flower with which its name is similar. The Nike Hyperdunk 2011 pictured above isn’t a clear WBCA-affiliated release (note the lack of ribbon insignia), but it does indeed seem to reprise the metallic pink shade that made the HD2010s so impressive. Time will tell whether these are a WMNS release or done in mens sizes, but you can click through to see if you like them right now. Let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike Basketball release dates. via Weibo/HC

Jeremy Scott started off his ‘animal’ collection with cuddly bears in the teddy and panda variety, but for this upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 release, Scott’s about to go apes***. Here’s a look at the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals ‘Gorilla’ in a tonal black colorway; it features a King Kong-like beast on the tongue of the shoe with its fists raised up, ready to pounds its chest. You might’ve caught these in a recent Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals preview, but not in this sweet backdrop featuring the shoe climbing a skyscraper. Expect these sometime next year, but in the meantime, check out the images after the jump. via HS.
