Last week Sneaker News showed you the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme in the Imperial Purple/Cool Grey colorway. The ‘Supreme’ Hyperdunk 2011 features a notable design upgrade from the regular version of the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 in the form of a webbed TPU overlay at the toe as well as reinforced lace eyelets. In addition to the Imperial Purple colorway, you can expect four more versions in similar tonal-colorway packages, like Varsity Red, Black, Royal Blue, and Orange. Expect these to hit Nike Basketball retailers for the Holiday 2011 season (the purple colorway is already confirmed for November), and check out all five colorways after the jump.

There’s a sequel on tap for the revived midtop version, but don’t forget about the lowtop from Nike Training’s Huarache series. The Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low is back with a new colorway for the dog days of summer, but ironically enough, it’s pretty much the exact opposite of what you’d probably want for a hard day of outdoor cross training. In fact, this new Zoom Huarache Trainer Low is probably best reserved for lifestyle use as the patent leather toe that sets off this tonal black design, is not exactly the kind of material you’d naturally picture for use in wind sprints and such. It’s visually impressive all the same, and you can click through for more images before picking up a pair from NikeStore.

Say you plan to undertake a goal that most people complete in four years, and say you achieved even more than you expected in just a single turn of the calendar. Wouldn’t that seem like a good time to get out on top? Well that’s exactly what Syracuse University alum Carmelo Anthony did, besting his own expectations by becoming an All-American and winning a National Championship as a freshman. It was convincing enough that even with LeBron James a mortal lock for the number 1 pick, ‘Cuse coach Jim Boeheim gave Melo his blessing to step into the pro game. So it’s no wonder why, despite his relatively short stay, Anthony is Orange through and through, and why each year we see Syracuse player exclusives from his Jordan Brand signature line like the above pictured Jordan Melo M7 Future Sole. These are perhaps the single most attention-grabbing rendition on Allan Largin’s contest winning design, the tonal orange upper and white accents plus blue stitching making these a must for any Melo collector. Click through to get a closer view and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible US release date; Asian retailers like Kix-Files are already starting to ship theirs.

Miami’s Mr. R Sports has been serving South Beach sneakers since 1973, but the store has only recently come into national prominence thanks to a more aggressive internet presence. Mr. R is also among the official partners for the upcoming Sneaker Con Miami that takes place on July 30th, and this gave the store a chance to hook up with longtime Sneaker Con sponsor, adidas, on this 13-pair limited edition collaborative design. The Mr. R Sports x adidas Originals Superstar II avoids the cliche MIA pastels in favor of a simple orange-on-white design, plus the store’s winged logo on the lateral heels. As has been the case every year since its introduction, we’ve seen far fewer Nike Air Force 1 Mid colorways hit retailers in 2011 than either original Low and High silhouettes. And in this year where the ‘Cool Grey’ Air Jordan XI aftermath has lasted long enough to make you wonder if they’re set to be this holiday season’s big drop again, a majority of these new AF1 Mids have featured grey and white. Here’s another Medium Grey Air Force 1 Mid that differs from the pair issued earlier this summer by its use of a diagonally-oriented perforation grid on the underlay along with a denser texture on the overlay sections. Click through to see more angles and pick up a pair from Nike Sportswear retailers like Titolo.

The ‘wow-factor’ is what the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Collection strives for, and by putting teddy bears, plastic bones, and cheetah print/metallic croc skin, the outrageous Jeremy Scott certainly achieves that for his August 2011 Collection. The highlight of the group is the ‘Panda‘, which features a removable headband, but don’t forget the ‘Bones‘, which features plastic bones on the forefoot, and the ‘Streetball’, which is a whimsical interpretation of the classic adidas silhouette. The JS Slim isn’t bad either, using a red/blue/white upper in a signature bowling-shoe construction. Two pairs for women will release as well, like the shin-high, wedged Superstar, and the Wings Ballerina in black. Of course, there’s some apparel worth looking at, like the surprisingly plain grey hoodie with Wings attachments on the hood, and the super-funky tiger-striped tuxedo jacket. Check out the entire August 2011 Collection from Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals below and watch for these to hit select adidas accounts soon.

Reebok Back! Reebok and celebrity collaborator Swizz Beatz held a special launch event for the Reebok ‘Reethym Of Light’ campaign, which focuses on the new Reebok Lite Footwear line and Swizz’s personal take on collection. He calls it an ‘International Party’, where footwear connects with the rhythm of art, dance, music, and style, and it was certainly a party last night at Espace as Swizz was joined on stage by Lloyd Banks for alive performance. Other notable guests at event included P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Busta Rhymes, DJ Khaled, Clive Davis, and more. Continue reading for a full event recap of ‘Reethym Of Light’ with a look at some great Reebok kicks on feet (Packer’s U.S. Open Court Victory Pumps and the upcoming Reebok Blast remake) and some new Kamikaze colorways and let us know what your thoughts are on the newly revamped Reebok footwear line!

Mizzeecustoms is back at it again with a custom Nike LeBron 8 in a colorway that we were all patiently awaiting. Commissioned by Deftronic, Mizzeecustoms’ latest LeBron 8 project was to create a ‘South Beach’ colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2, and did so while adding a few upgrades to create a unique look. The upper shell was repainted in the bright teal blue, but the Flywire panels feature an iridescent color-changing material. The outsole is also different from the V/1 version of the South Beach, as it uses a solid white outsole with a hot pink tinted Max Air bag. Other details include the ‘It’s Good To Be The King’ t-shirt graphic on the tongue as well as a custom Gucci-print insole for the sole purpose of ‘swaggin’ out’. The LeBron 8 will certainly be a huge category for Sneaker News’ Battle Of The Customs feature, so check out the images of the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘South Beach’ Custom below and let us know what you think.

High profile Air Jordan Retro releases typically hit store shelves on Saturdays with the occasional mid-week abberation, but if you were going to pick the perfect day each month to drop one of MJ’s classics, it’d have to be the 23rd, right? Turns out this month’s twenty-third day is a Saturday, so while 6/23 would have also been a good fit for obvious reasons, we’re just as glad that the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Space Jam’ is hitting retailers this weekend. Now obviously, Mike never rocked the SB Dunk during his playing days, but these are as close to the original Air Jordan XI design as any homage has ever come, including the $828 Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes we’ve seen in that vein. Click through to see more angles of the most hotly anticipated SB Dunk release in quite some time and let us know if you’ll be copping the Dunk Low SB ‘Space Jam’ this Saturday from a retailer like Miami’s MIA. If you can’t wait for Saturday, you can pick up a pair early now on eBay.
