Asking if sneakerheads are excited about the upcoming Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Concord’ release is akin to posing a query regarding the sky’s blueness. This right here is perhaps the single most important sneaker of the entire year, and one that’s sure to make a ton of people happy when they get a pair for Christmas. In fact, many are so geeked on the Concords that they’re willing to pay a premium to get them before anyone else, and that’s where a guy like Air-Randy comes in. The longtime eBay PowerSeller has been hawking his wares through Facebook of late, and judging by the response to his Air Jordan III earlies, these joints will be snatched up as soon as he posts the price and available sizes. But it’s just images for now as we await a confirmed retail price (and the corresponding re-sale hike), so click through to see some new images and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the Air Jordan XI Concord 2011 release.

Just last night Sneaker News gave you a look at a monster collaboration between Nike Sportswear, Supreme, and fragment design. It seems Hiroshi Fujiwara’s been keeping busy with Nike because he’s got another collaboration with Nike coming in the form of the Nike Zoom Meriweather, the freshly designed Nike ACG product that doubles as a weather-resistant boot and stylish footwear option. The Meriweather, armed with Trailframe, Nike Zoom, and a medial-side zipper is constructed with buttery grey suede and obsidian and red accents with white roped laces. The fragment design x Nike Zoom Meriweather is slated for a November 2011 release at select spots so check out the images after the jump and let us know what you think. via tenisufki.

Chris Paul is currently busy touring with Carmelo Anthony in China, but that doesn’t mean his sneaker line takes a break. We recently showed you the Jordan CP3.IV in the China Mask colorway, but we’re ready to move onto chapter 5 of the exciting Chris Paul/Jordan Brand story as we get a first look at a new White/Silver colorway of the Jordan CP3.V. The CP3.V features a similar silhouette to the CP3.IV; a lower cut, familiar triangular graphic patterns on the upper, and Podulon cushioning return, but here we see ventilated panel which appears to be multi-layered in construction. The first CP3.V sample we showed you did not feature such a design, but instead utilized a mesh/nubuck material. Continue reading for more images of the upcoming Jordan CP3.V and let us know if these are an upgrade from the previous four installments of the Jordan CP3 signature line. via us11.

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski has all the tools to make it one of the most versatile sneakers in the entire Nike SB catalog. It can double as a high-end shoe (like those snazzy wingtip joints) and a laid-back option, like this upcoming grey fleece that is set to drop in Spring 2012. It features a light grey tonal upper with the soft fleece material and silver piping along the upper panel borders. Do you prefer this style over the more ‘lux’ suede and leather options? Check out the extra detailed shots of this upcoming Spring 2012 release and keep in tune with Sneaker News for more Nike SB updates. via N-SB/wesc.

There are plenty of celebrity sneakerheads these days but considerably fewer who have become famous simply for rocking heat. A young man many call ‘Franalations’ is one of the latter group, a guy whose stash is quite deep and yet he decided to add more (Pre-) Heat in the form of a new Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke. These are only vaguely similar to Marchello’s ‘Pokemon’ Bespokes from last spring, the teal color on that pair’s laces making up the majority of a suede base that meets with black croc, a pink sockliner and golden brown suede to match the gum rubber outsole. The result could be seen as something like a ‘well done’ South Beach colorway (if we give him credit for learning the proper temperature to cook them after the LeBron 8 burning), or perhaps a mix of that palette LeBron made famous crossed with 2008′s ‘Mr. Todd Bratrud’ Dunk High SB. But actually, this is where the vague similarity to the previous Pokemon joints comes in, this colorway inspired by the character Squirtle as indicated by the ‘SQUIRT’ dubraes. LeBron James attended a special camp/basketball clinic that was held at the Nike Campus. During his stay, LeBron shot some hoops and went through some dribbling drills with youngsters and also went through a quick Q&A session, which included his personal testimony on why it’s so great to be a ‘famous guy’ (the free goods!). Matching his Nike tee (which features the Air Force 1 sole as part of the swoosh) was his Nike Air Diamond Turf in the ’49ers’ colorway. Should LeBron rock some retros when he plays ball, or is that strictly a Gilbert Arenas fad? Check out LeBron James and his kicks below as well as some videos and let us know what you think. via lrj23.

You know all that color-on-white goodness we showed you early this morning in the form of six new Air Jordan 1 Retros? Well it turns out that the very same kind of simple two-toned colorblocking that works great on that 1985-born model can just as satisfyingly be applied to the all new Air Jordan 2011 Q Flight. This Hyperfuse-uppered take on the Air Jordan 2011′s ‘Quick’ Zoom Air cushioning comes with Varsity Royal accents upon a white base. They’re a bit subdued when compared to the #Follow23 edition, but that look will translate perfectly to a variety of school uniforms, and they’re just a yellow shoelace away from your own ‘Laney’-style palette. Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for the exact release date on this selection from Jordan Brand‘s August drop.

Back in 2009, Nike Sportswear released a House of Hoops-exclusive Blazer High LE featuring multicolored tie-dye on the side panels in honor of journeyman guard World B. Free. Compared to even two years ago, we see significantly more player exclusive models hit retailers like the HoH, and the difference becomes more significant the further you track back until we’re talking about Sharpies as the extent of player specificity. So while even the youngest sneakerheads could conceivably still associate the player with this shoe, to see an actual World B. Free Nike Blazer PE is pretty crazy. These blue-on-white Blazers would have been a decent ‘home’ look for several of the teams he played on and are notable for their suede toecap, un-bellied Swoosh and ‘WORLD’ heel tabs. Click through to see more angles of this game-worn classic and check out the auction from d_g.o.a.t on eBay.

The Air Jordan XI Concord has been confirmed for a late 2011 release, but questionable images have been floating around, posing as the real deal. Well, as if you needed a reminder as to how beautiful these things really are, here’s a certifiably legit set of images of the Air Jordan XI Concord 2011 Retro. As you all know (if you didn’t check with our Michael Jordan Through The Years: Air Jordan XI feature), MJ gave the world a premature look at his eleventh signature shoe when he broke out the White/Black pair against the Orlando Magic in the 1995 NBA Playoffs. NBA on NBC host Ahmad Rashad and the rest of the viewing public let out a gasp of amazement at the Air Jordan XI, although shoe designer Tinker Hatfield wasn’t very pleased with the early unveiling (and NBA league officials warned MJ of a fine for not matching team uniforms). The stories regarding the Air Jordan XI Concord can go on and on, so we’ll save those for another time. For now, enjoy these sweet new images of the Air Jordan XI Concord 2011 Retro and let us know if these are a must have for you how many pairs you’re going to cop. via kicks-lab.

By this point in July back in 1995, the Seattle Mariners were all but eliminated from playoff contention, trailing the American League West leading California Angels (of, well, California) by as many as 13 games before mounting an 11th hour comeback to win the division crown. The timing couldn’t have been better, as that September as the Ms were climbing atop the AL West, the King County electorate rejected a small sales tax increase to fund a new stadium. But after Ken Griffey Jr. scored the ALDS-winning run versus the Yankees on a play we’ve come to know as ‘The Double’, the county’s elected council moved to cooperate with the team’s ownership, which directly resulted in the construction of Safeco Field. That ’95 season also cemented Griffey as a household name and made Nike sufficiently confident that the very next year, they ran ‘Griffey for President’ on the platform of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in this original colorway. This quintessentially mid/late ’90s trainer will hit Nike Sportswear retailers like Millennium Shoes on August 10th and you can already find pairs available to buy right now on eBay.
