2011 has been an absolutely huge year for Air Jordan Retros. This comes after a couple years of AJFs and other hybrids being met with pleas (especially here in the Sneaker News comments) for your classic favorites, and the same seems to have taken place on a smaller scale with New Balance. NB heads often see their favorite models released in collaborations and other special edition overseas-exclusive drops, so the return of the New Balance 999 into regular rotation on US store shelves has been welcomed. It started with Concepts’ ‘Kennedy’ design and we’ve seen the simple OG colorblocking pattern repeated on black, grey and navy suede designs, so the timing is right for a brand new release that’ll probably show up quite a bit at Heinz Field on Sundays this fall now that the NFL labor dispute has been resolved. Click through to see more of this Steelers-leaning colorway and grab yours from an NB retailer like Cincinnati’s Corporate.
