Some of the most popular Nike SB Dunks are the ones with the most elementary colorways. In some cases, it’s not the creativity that makes a shoe, but the simplicity, and in the case of this custom Nike SB, its the latter that shines through. Skaterat of N-SB forums recently completed this multi-year project in which he dyed a pair of SB Dunk Lows (possibly the Sandalwood/Spanish Moss, aka ‘Vegan’, release of 2006) in a two-toned olive colorway, inspired by Vietnam. Not that he has any personal experiences in the war, but as he states, “everyone skating in a city has had some interesting vagrant experiences often ending in the declaration that the homeless gentleman was ‘in Nam!”. It certainly is a job well done, and there’s no doubt these would be a popular choice had they released (and current and upcoming Nike SB Dunk releases have shown that ‘simplicity’ is once again the driving factor’.
