Back in 2007, Nike SB issued a colorway for Paul Rodriguez’ second signature sneaker based upon Jeff Staple’s legendary Dunk Low SB ‘Pigeon’. Their tonal grey upper with white accents and just a hint of orange on the sockliner and outsole can be seen as a sign of things to come in the post-recession sneaker scene, both their clean and simple color scheme, the silhouette that carried over to the Nike SB P-Rod 2.5. Some would even extend this lineage to the colorway on this new P-Rod 2.5, though the red lining and baby blue foxing band means that these joints don’t really fall into the category of, say, the ‘Tiffany’ Bruin or the ‘Cali’ 2.5s that dropped earlier this year. A solid colorway even if it can’t be directly attached to any previous release, this one should hit retail early next year. via N-SB
