The Air Jordan 1, like the other iconic ’1s’ in the sneaker game (the Air Force 1, Air Max 1, etc.), is a shoe that can never get old, despite the hundreds of colorways and numerous rehashings we’ve seen over the years. Some like the AJ1 to be as simple as possible, others like the sneaker to take on different forms and personalities, and this upcoming September 2011 release seems to combine both notions. It’s got a simple tonal Cool Grey upper with Imperial Blue laces (easily swappable if you’re not feeling the color), but the combination of micro-perf nubuck and faux carbon fiber is an example of Jordan Brand‘s experimentation with new materials on older models. September 2011 is the release date for these redone classics, so check ‘em out below and let us know what you think.

Just goes to show, JB is runnin' out of ideas! JB needs to get the f*** out of the "Cool Grey" trans! Or hire new JB designers for AJ's!!
