Nike has Hyperfuse, adidas has SprintFrame/SprintWeb, Reebok has . . . VibeTech? If you didn’t have any images and someone told you that RBK’s latest basketball shoe was called the ThermalVibe, you might reasonably deduce that they’re some kind of featherweight heat-bonded design. And even once you know that VibeTech is set to compliment the ZigTech lineup, it’s still reasonable to see ‘Reebok ThermalVibe’ and expect a laminated upper, but this model in fact goes for a more traditional leather build with synthetic inserts. Does the new cushioning platform suggest these can compete with John Wall’s signature next year?
