Nike Zoom Rookie Binary Blue Black | Detailed Images

Nike Inc.’s Binary Blue shade has been around for a while now, but because ofthe tendency for any of Penny Hardaway’s Nike Sportswear retros or hybrids to release in an Orlando Magic-friendly Varsity Royal, this subtle shift shade seems somewhat strange.  The Binary Blue Foamposite on this upcoming Nike Zoom Rookie mashup appeared even darker, leaning toward a metallic navy when presented on a black background.  But this new set of images reveals a color that, while not a royal blue (more of a dark cobalt, really), is perhaps closer to the Air Penny legacy than we’d realized.  Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via air-randyhk.

  18. Jer Dawg Says:

Robocop 2 colors. I like it. Looks even more shinier than even the Ultraposites. And they only released, what, ONE color??? I need a car buffer for these shoes.

  19. kha_boogie Says:

its not even using the same amount of foamposite material , and they charge the same for the foam 1s , tht makes no sense , why is this hybrid equivalent to the shoe it was inspired by?? never outshine the master .

  20. NikesOnMyFeet Says:

Okay answer me this. A 2011 Ferrari is inspired by its previous models but at the end of the day the value of the newer model is higher

  21. @urbanzrouge Says:

  24. rose Says:

Number 1… these are by no means a for sure cop(or at least shouldnt be) on anyone list ! So pricing them at 2bills isnt exactely making them more appealing! Now I do agree with both sides of the argument below but at the end of the day the aesthetics and/or functionality MUST justify the price.. just like the example below saying "the new ferrari is inspired by the old but cost more" this is true that previous models help provoke new inspiration but usually the outcome is better! In the case of these zoom rookie's the outcome was a step back from its inspiration(foam 1s and foam pros); moreover the technology(bhp, fuel economy, traction, acceleration etc) in the ferrai gets better and looks sweeter with the passing years with justifies its increasing price tag… these zoom rookies are a hybrid(less tech) ,look worse and will potentially cost more, now that is what doesnt make sense!
