Television personality Nick Cannon kept busy late last week…hugging. At Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, Cannon attempted to break the world record of hugging, giving warm embraces to as many people as possible in just one hour. The current record is 1,749 hugs in sixty minutes, but even if Cannon didn’t break the record, it was all in good cause, because for each hug he completed, a toy was donated to a child at the Mets Care Room in the New York Hospital of Queens. Cannon showed up in his trademark toothy smile donning a personalized Mets jersey and the Air Jordan VII Premio; most would think he would rock a pair of the Nike Air Mariah, but perhaps his pair was all used up.
