Lately Nike SB has been taking the Nike Sportswear approach, adopting ‘lifestyle’ colorways to its skate-shoe models for the everyday wearable look. Just take a look back at a few years ago and you’ll see that Nike SB colorists have spurned the bright neon tones for muted, darker tones, like Anthracite, Oil Green, Binary Blue, and Blue Dusk. Of course, it’s the materials that also give a sneaker its character, and Nike SB’s penchant for buttery suedes, gentle canvas, and denim twill have taken the sub-label to new heights, and the September 2011 footwear roll-out serves as a sign of things to come for the coming Holiday 2011 season.
