The summer vacation is coming to a close, and the final Sneaker News Weekly Rewind of the month of August wraps up a great summer vacation with some great news from the past week. There’s a lot to look forward to as September and the Holiday season rolls around, so let’s take a look at what popped up on Sneaker News this week. We got another look at the Air Jordan IV White/Grey 2012 release as well as the Air Jordan 2011 Q Flight ‘Year of the Rabbit’. The Miami Nights LeBron 8 V/2 Low has been confirmed for a U.S. release, and another 3-D colorway of the Zoom Kobe VI will hit stores as well. We brought another look at Todd Bratrud’s Nike SB Dunk High ‘Cigar’ as well as a first look at the Air Force 1 E Possivel – a Brazil-exclusive. The OG colorways of the Air Trainer SC II High will also drop next week, and we finally got a detailed look at the Air Max Griffey Fury.

Celebrities were a notable trend this week as newlyweds Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian were spotted in LAX, and Fabolous threw a ‘Bottles & Js’ BBQ in his backyard. Sneakers have the most unique of origins, and luckily we got to read up on 30 of the most interesting sneaker inspirations in history. Nike Training just dropped the Rivalry Pack, consisting of Oregon, Boise State, and Georgia colorways of the Trainer 1.3 Max, and Supra unveiled the Thriller Pack, paying tribute to the King of Pop’s popular music video. In collabs, Japanese rockers Mighty Crown partnered up with NSW for a Premium Dunk High, and Jeremy Scott unveiled a new Forum Hi (no wings or bears). Finally, Sneaker News launched the Nike Air Max 1 iD Design Contest, where 1 of 100 entrants would win a free pair of iDs. Check out the rest of Sneaker News Weekly Rewind and stay tuned for the best sneaker coverage in the world!
