Nike Zoom Kobe VI Lakers 3 D

The film industry is all about the next-generation movie-going experience – namely the ’3-D’ visual technology that has become oh-so-popular over the last couple of years. The Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘LA Pack’ touched upon Kobe’s tinsel-town base and released a ’3-D’ colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, but this new 3-D ready pair of kicks is a bit more close to Kobe’s heart. Check out the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Lakers 3-D’; it features a mix of yellow, purple, and grey on the upper with a similar mix of colors blocked all around the shoe, but take not that the left and right pairs are different colors!. These are awfully similar to the Kobe VI ‘Lakers Gradient’ that has popped up recently, but we can clearly witness that this 3-D version is bit more advanced in the visual sense. More images await you below, so take a look and let us know what you think. via MarqueeSole.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High Fall 2011 Colorways | New Images

The Air Jordan 1 typically stays quiet during the calendar year. Not to say that it isn’t a noiseworthy shoe, but it does get overlooked from time to time in favor of the more marquee releases, like the Air Jordan XI Concord, the Ray Allen XIIIs, and other big-time Jordan Retro releases. However, one of the most controversial releases of the year has been of the Air Jordan 1 variety; not long ago, Jordan Brand scrapped the Air Jordan 1 ‘Banned’ and released the shoe in limited numbers at Nike Factory Stores, and currently a pair of these contemporary ‘banned’ kicks fetch up to $300 a piece. Whether it was truly a scrapped release that experienced unforeseen popularity, or if it was a shrewd coercion tactic remains to be seen, but it all reminded us that the original Air Jordan sneaker has that staying power in today’s sneaker game. If you missed out the Banned 1s, it’s quite alright because Jordan Brand is set to release six team-based colorways of the Air Jordan 1 High Retro; these are slated to be an August 2011 release, but have yet to pop up in stores in the U.S., so perhaps a late-month release or a postponement to September is likely. Japanese retailer LTD-Online has all six available, so check out the new detailed shots of all six pairs below and stick with Sneaker News for updates regarding this sweet six-pack of AJ1s.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals adiMEGA Torsion

Earlier today, Sneaker News showed you a Jeremy Scott design from his adidas Originals by Originals capsule that reprises the legendary silent collaboration he authored a decade ago on the ‘Money’ Forum His.  J.Scott’s clearly got a thing for hightops and his latest design converges with another recent Three Stripes initiative as the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals adiMEGA Torsion joins the fall footwear lineup.  This model adds a Chicago-style bred palette with patent leather you might attribute to one Michael Jeffrey Jordan, though the silhouette and its exaggerated suspension and forefoot medallion clearly rectify any confusion as to who created these.  Click through to see more of Jeremy Scott’s adiMEGA Torsion and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via mita sneakers

Jordan Brand Future Sole 2011 Preview

The Jordan Brand Future Sole program has been cultivating young design potential since the program was first created in 2009. While there is just one winner each year, all participants and finalists depart the program with a gained experience that very few others can add to their respective resumes, and this year, finalists Nick Diaber and Jacob Rochester will be fortunate enough to add ‘Jordan Brand Future Sole Design finalist’ to their growing list of accomplisments. Over the weekend, both finalists were amidst the final stages of creating their NYC-inspired Jordan Melo kicks, working with Jordan Brand Material Designer Suzette Henri to put on the finishing touches. Continue reading for a recap of the entire process and stick with Sneaker News as we will announce the winner of the Jordan Brand Future Sole 2011 Design Contest!

Supra Thriller Pack

During his successful career that spanned several decades, pop-icon Michael Jackson was recognized for his unique taste in music and fashion style. From the 80′s era, we remember Michael primarily for that red and black leather jacket that he wore during the game-changing ‘Thriller’ music video, and since MJ’s unfortunate passing, design houses have used that iconic pieces of apparel to create commemorative pieces for the fallen icon. Footwear brand Supra, who had released Michael Jackson-inspired footwear before, gives it another go-around with the Supra Thriller Pack, featuring a red and black colorway of the Supra Thunder. For the added touch of authenticity, Supra added a functional retro-style zipper along the lace-placket, and the visa terry-lined inner give these fierce kicks a touch of luxury. Additional detais include the Thriller insoles and hangtag. Only 413 pairs of each pair will be distributed, available at only the most select of Supra retailers, so continue reading for a full rundown of the stocklist as well as a detailed gallery and let us know what you think.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI Lakers Gradient | New Photos

A prime example of the precision possible when utilizing synthetic materials, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Lakers Gradient’ is one of the most visually stimulating colorways of what’s been an epic run from Kobe Bryant’s sixth Nike Basketball signature.  Much like the Zoom Kobe IV ‘Gradient’ and ZK5 ’5 Rings’, these fade from purple to gold, though unlike in previous seasons, the Lakers’ playoff performance has us wondering if the treatment echoes LA’s slow fade from glory.  And it remains to be seen if the NBA labor dispute will even end in time for these to show up prior to the Zoom Kobe VII debut, so click through to get a sense for what we do know is in store and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.  via Air-Randy

Nike Dunk High AC Mesh Pack

The fat-belly-Swooshed, Blazer-esque pack that dropped on the eve of March Madness this year probably deserves an asterisk as an aftershock of Questlove’s Dunk High BZ collaboration, so we’ve only seen one pack of straight-up Nike Dunk High ACs this entire year. And since the Dunk High AC borrows from skate and casual styles for its vulcanized sole, it’s only right to see the model reach across and grab a material combo that’s worked so well on running shoes: suede and mesh. The Dunk High AC ‘Mesh Pack’ lays tonal suede atop a mesh base with contrast stitching the same color as their Swooshes and sockliners, and you can see more images of the grey/volt, black/red and navy/blue joints by clicking on the jump below. Let us know which colorway you prefer and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date because these just touched down at Nike Sportswear’s Paris location. via HS

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals B Sides Forum Hi

“I’m never making them again. I’d refuse to do it. I want to respect the people that have appreciated it so much and who have blessed that shoe with what it is.”

That’s what Jeremy Scott said with regard to his breakout performance, the 2002 adidas Forum Mid ‘Money’ that sent shockwaves through the industry we still feel to this day. adidas Originals reached out to find collaborators to hearken back to the past but with a twist and launched the ’B-Sides’ collectionwith brands like BAPE and UNDFTD contributing their own historically-influenced designs. It’s a perfect occasion to have Scott reprise some of his most important work without having him go back on his word to re-use the infamous currency jacquard, and so here’s the Jeremy Scott x adidas OriginalsForum Hi ‘B-Sides’, a design reminiscent of that all-over OG thanks to the designer’s name criss-crossing the tonal brown upper.
