fragment design x Nike Zoom All Court 2 Low Brown Leopard

Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara is known for his wild designs, but never before has this decriptor been as literal as its connection to this new fragment design collaboration with Nike Sportswear.  Just one of a trio that itself is one third of a series of fragment design x Nike Zoom All Court 2 collabo releases, this brown leopard print Zoom All Court 2 Low is a bit tamer than the purple and pink joints we showed you last Wednesday.  Click through to get a better view of this one and let us know how they compare to both the other leopard pairs and the plainer High and Low packs, and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via Kenlu

Nike Air Force 1 Low White Black Tumble

There have been countless black and white Nike Air Force 1 releases during the model’s 29 year run, this latest pair a bit of a throwback to years gone by thanks to its starkly contrasting colorblocking scheme.  These also employ a bit of textural contrast thanks to the use of a black tumbled leather atop the smooth white base, just enough details for the shoe to be interesting without overwhelming your outfit.  Click through to see some more angles and expect this new black/white Air Force 1 Low at Nike Sportswear retailers like Villa this October.

Nike SB Team Edition 2 Black White Gum

The Zoom Stefan Janoski SB featuring wingtip-style brogue detailing is a one-off for a series marked by its classical styling, but Nike SB intends to keep the old school perforated look alive with a new model starting early next year.  The disparity between the naughties original and the Nike SB Team Edition 2 gives us perhaps the most concise statement we’ve seen on how the skateboarding sneaker scene has evolved over the past five-plus years.  Instead of tank-like chunkiness and garish colorways, we get a muted and sleek versatile style complete with vulcanized sole for more of a timeless look.  Check out the black/white spring 2012 release in more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike SB release dates.  via N-SB

Nike LeBron 8 V2 Graffiti

The 2007 NBA All-Star weekend is perhaps the most notorious three-day stretch in the league’s history.  Las Vegas didn’t take any wagers on the game but that didn’t stop guys like Adam ‘Pac-Man’ Jones from throwing a whole bunch of money around.  Kobe Bryant captured the game’s MVP award en route to a Western Conference victory, but all wasn’t lost for the East as LeBron James led the blue team with 28, 6 and 6 and rocked the first in a series of graffiti-detailed signatures.  The scribbly motif was reprised on the ‘NYC’ Zoom LeBron IV and has subsequently shown up on models like the ZLVI and Zoom LeBron Soldier III, not to mention customs like the ones we showed you back in March.

It turns out that Connor Burns’ handiwork won’t be the only Nike LeBron 8 V/2 to feature the street art aesthetic, as DJ Steph Floss has shown the world the latest in a long line of V/2 heat.  The ‘Graffiti’ LeBron 8 V2s were also spotted at another all-star game of sorts, a Monday night tip where the Melo League squad  somehow overcame Kevin Durant’s 59 points for the Goodman League all-stars.  Click through to see more, let us know what you think of this latest Nike LeBron colorway and if you’d purchase a pair if they end up making it to retail.  via djstephfloss/youbigdummy on NT

Nike Blazer Mid Black Canvas

There is much confusion regarding the difference between the Nike Blazer Mid and High. At a glance, they’re the exact same shoe: classically styled upper, bellied Swoosh, vulcanized sole; but a keen eye can spot the differences up close. Take for instance, the Blazer Mid pictured above. Notice how the side walls of its vulc sole are smooth, and how there’s a faux foxing band in the form of a canvas ‘mudguard’ strip just above the point where it attaches to the upper. These key featured distinguish the Mid from the woodgrain-walled Highs (which also lack the ‘foxing’), though this black-on-black design ensures they won’t stand out under most circumstances. Click through to see some more angles and pick up a pair of this black canvas Blazer Mid from Caliroots.

Air Jordan X Retro White Varsity Red Steel Grey | Sample

The Air Jordan X released in 1995 in a variety of team-oriented colorways that allowed some of the NBA’s other squads to garner some attention while Michael Jordan was away from the Bulls.  The Kings, Knicks, Magic and Sonics all got AJXs along with a variety of Chicago-style colorups, but only the Bulls colorways were retroed when the AJX returned a decade later.  Instead of those ‘PEs’, we got a few new colorways including the white, Varsity Red and Steel Grey edition that served as an alternate ‘home’ look to the white, black and True Red OGs.  Turns out there were also some differences between the ’05s and a sample version that never hit retail, notable details including the sockliner color, eyestay material and outsole Jumpman.  Click through to see more angles of the unreleased pair, browse the Sneaker News Air Jordan Legacy archives and let us know which version you like best.  via Stickie213

Sneaker News Nike Air Max 1 iD Design Contest Finalists

It didn’t take long for Sneaker News readers to submit their entries to the Sneaker News Nike Air Max 1 iD Design Contest, and after careful consideration, the Sneaker News staff whittled down the hundred entries into a solid group of ten. Some of the finalists feature the Denim Twill material that was all-new to the Nike Air Max 1 iD, while some spurned the new design option in favor of the classic suede and mesh while being dependent of a strongly composed colorway. The ten finalists selected capture the versatile nature of Nike iD, as some of the colorways below are either familiar or entirely fresh. Of course, the winner is selected by a popular vote, so be sure to vote for the winner on the poll at the very end – the polls close on Thursday, midnight!

Celebrity Feet: Lil Waynes Tha Carter IV Album Release Party

Celebrities gathered over the weekend in Los Angeles to celebrate the highly anticipated release of Lil’ Wayne’s fourth studio album titled ‘Tha Carter IV’. Attending the event were some of the most notable names in the hip-hop and pop-culture scene, like Rick Ross, Drake, DJ Khaled, Tyga, Ronnie from Jersey Shoe, and many more. Air Jordans and sneakers have been considered ‘proper attire’ for events like these for quite a while, which is why we spotted some great kicks during the get-together, like the Air Jordan XI Cool Grey, the Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared’ and the Nike Dunk High ‘Osaka’. The Dunks were worn by Ronnie, who displayed an impressive rotation of sneakers during filming of Jersey Shore; the Dunk High ‘Osaka’ which dropped back in 2008, is quite rare in the states, and Flight Club could very well be where Ronnie picked ‘em up because a size 10 just got snatched up from there just two weeks ago. Check out the celebs from Lil’ Wayne’s album release party below and let us know what you think!
