This year has been a big one for sneakerheads, and much of that can be attributed to the fact that Jordan Brand’s release calender has been packing more threes than a Ray Allen post game report. Not the least among them is the brand new Air Jordan III ‘Stealth’, a colorway that takes the typical ‘Bred’ combo and injects a healthy dose of cool grey in the mix. Along with other hot releases like the Air Foampiste Pro ‘Dark Pine’, these are poised to be some of the biggest back-to-school sneakers for the unlucky among you who have that to look forward to in the coming weeks. These are starting to pop up at Jordan Brand retailers like Millennium now, with the official release date right around the corner. With Kobe still trailing behind MJ in the rings department, the man can only hope that if he ever does lock down a sixth championship that he can do so in a shade of the epic fashion that Jordan did. Of course when Jordan sank that ‘Last Shot’, he was wearing the Air Jordan XIV in Black/Varsity Red, a sneaker set to hit stores again this holiday season. The signature ‘bred’ colorway is always a good look for Air Jordan retros, and this one is even more special given that immortal moment in sports history that it represents. The mixture of suede and leather stays true to the original release that came at the tail end of the Tinker era, with the overall design of the sneaker being inspired by Jordan’s Ferrari. Penn & Teller’s B.S. did a show ‘debunking’ obesity a few years back by showing that a heavier guy could out-hurdle someone who looked to be in better shape.  But short, tall, fat, or skinny, there are few who can top Chinese Olympic gold medalist Liu Xiang when it comes to sprinting and jumping.  Xiang held the 110m world record for nearly four years, but it’s a mystery why it took nearly that long again after his reign ended for the man to earn a sneaker collaboration.  But the time is finally here and the Liu Xiang x Nike LunarGlide+ 3 and Free Run+ 2 collection appears to have been worth the wait.  Mens and ladies runners will be joined by a run of apparel featuring Xiang’s ‘flying man’ logo, all packaged in a dope wooden chest.  A mere 86 sets will be issued in honor of the now-fallen 12.86s WR and released with a 15-set preview run this Monday, August 29th.  The lucky first 15 buyers will join Liu himself at a special event on September 1st, so click through to see more and let us know if you’re readying your passport to get these in Beijing.  via FRESHNESS

We recently showed you a pair of Vans Sk8Hi’s dubbed the ‘Camper Pack’, but this earthy pair may hit closer to home on that theme with its outdoorsy materials. adidas has been a German staple since adi Dassler founded The Brand with the Three Stripes all the way back in 1924, but it took another seventy-seven years for a flagship store to open in their homeland.  So now as we approach the 10th anniversary of the first adidas flagship in Berlin-Mitte, it’s only natural to expect some special releases to commemorate the occasion.  We can’t tell exactly what silhouette is pictured here, but the adidas Originals ‘Made for Berlin’ Pack bears the signs of a hot release, premium materials and special packaging about all you can clearly discern from these teaser images. The Jordan B2B will be introduced this September as a trail-ready lifestyle-inspired shoe adopting some design cues from more recent Jordan Brand releases. It features a the forefoot strap seen in earlier releases like the Jordan Evolution ’85, the stitched seams seen in the Jordan CP3.IV, and the perforated breathable upper on the ankle and tongue seen on some upcoming Jordan releases. The upper features a diagonal checkerboard stitching with roped work-boot style laces for even more of a ‘trail’ feel. Expect both colorways to drop this September 10th at an MSRP of $115 so check out both below and let us know what you think.

It would take some real dedication to go back over the summer and determine the actual number of packs Supra has released in the past few months.  In actuality, it’d probably be as simple as navigating to the ‘Supra’ category there on our left sidebar, but you’d still have to spend several minutes clicking ‘Next Page’ because there are just so many of them.  A few recent standouts have just arrived at Michigan’s top skateshop, the navy/white Supra Skytop III joined by the Avenger and Thunder from the Burgundy and Brown Sets, respectively, on the shelves at Premier.
