Nike SB Dunk High + Low Gucci Customs

From one variation on a 2009 version of a 1985-born original to another, we move from the Air Jordan 1 in cleat form to a Nike SB Dunk that, by name alone, has already been done.  The ’Gucci’ Nike SB Dunk High dropped just under two years ago  with the alternate nickname ‘RESN’ taken from a Girl Skateboarding rider’s graffiti tag.  There’s a different kind of street-level art at play with these new ‘Gucci’ Dunk High and Low SBs, namely, a couple of custom jobs by N-SB forum member jwizvr6.  He took a pair of Eric Koston’s ‘Thai Temple’ Highs from last summer and the Dark Charcoal Lows from a couple months later, and applied interlocking-G material on the side panels plus a couple color adjustments to fit the brand’s signature palette.  The quality on these is seamless enough to have you thinking they came straight out the blue box like this; are they the best Nike SB Dunk customs we’ve profiled here on Sneaker News?  Click on the jump so you can see more images and leave a comment to let us know where they rank amongst the year’s best custom designs.

  12. PLAYED-OUT Says:

THIS USED TO BE HOT… OVER 10 YEARS AGO.

  13. memphisboy Says:

These are nice customs but once you start putting logos on another company's product it goes from being custom to being counterfeit.

  14. JON HUNDREDS Says:

This is still hot. Very clean and simple custom. I dont wear customs but gucci customs have always intrigued me.

  15. leonard Says:

I HAD THE CUSTOM GUCCI AF1S IN 2002 SIMALAR TO THESE.
IT WAS POPPIN TO HAVE GUCCI/BURBERRY/FENDI PRINT ON YOUR SNEAKERS, JEANS, JACKETS, OR BOOTS…. ALOT OF PEOPLE HAD FAKE SHIT… BUT IF YOU WERE A REAL DUDE AND CONNECTED THEN YOU WAS MESSIN WITH DD UPTOWN AND YOUD GET YOUR SHIT DONE OFFICIALLY WHERE IT WAS THE REAL ACTUAL MATERIAL FROM A BAG OR A BACKPACK OR A JACKET OR SOMETHING FROM THE ACTUAL STORE BUT THEN RIPPED APART AND USED FOR THE PART ON THE SHOE… SO TECHNICALLY I WAS "REAL". BUT I WAS KILLING THE STREETS HARDBODY BACK IN 02 WITH THAT STUFF!!! ID TAKE THAT LOW PAIR RIGHT NOW SHOOT ME YOUR EMAIL AND WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN ON THEM LOW SBS.

  16. DATKIDFELIX Says:

Wow this that new 2000 vintage ish! Next thing they will re-introduce Two Way pagers and Throwbacks.

  17. The Founding Father Says:

He should be shot, is it not enough that Nike already does nothing but retros, now this dude goes and retros some COMPLETE BULLSH!T!!! Customs are not for retro thats why they are called customs, do something new or go DIE!!!!!!!

    TEETOR

  18. Bob Says:

    It's not 2001 anymore.

  19. AkTheDon Says:

Best dunk customs i ever seen! & Its not about it being "fake" because theres only these two pairs & two if it was real you all would want to cop.

  20. debez Says:

    haha gucci bandanna
this is some soulja boy shit

  21. hey haole Says:

    whack!

  22. pkellz Says:

    and 2002 lol

  23. BU77FUC|< Says:

    fuck you

  24. charles Says:

i feel like he did a good ass job on these, they shoulda done a few gucci sbs

  25. pippowz Says:

I feel the same, but that's true, seing another dunk cw under the custom make them look a kind of counterfeit, (I would put team red laces on highs)…anyways it's a good job on the shoe itself, but gies a bad feeling cause anyone can see the ThaiTemple gold below the custom, maybe on a different shoe, or a shoe completely customized would have look better, just imho

  26. cedi Says:

    fake much?

  27. A-Boog Says:

    couldnt do it to myself!

  28. @sneakersXwine Says:

Looks fake, Gucci doesn't make dunks so I'll stick to loafer or Gucci sneakers. Hit your local swapmeet for these.

  29. @jbrasco Says:

FAKE GUCCI!!!!!!!! is still FAKE GUCCI!!!!!! no matter what shoe it's on!!!!!!!

OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO NOT THE FAKE GUCCI CUSTOMS AGAIN!!!!!!!! I can't believe it made it's way back. I hope this fad would have stayed dead back in 2001!!! Come on people!!!! You can't buy real gucci monogram print by the yard anywhere in the world!!! Call up Gucci and they will tell you the same thing. So, do I consider these real or fake? Or both? I've actually even just lost a little respect for SneakerNews for even posting this!!! I don't care have real the shoe is, the custom part about it, that we are critiquing is as fake as TRUtv reality shows!!!

  30. @jbrasco Says:

Your right, if it was real, I would wanna cop. Most sneakerheads pride themselves on owning legit shoes, so these being half way fake still falls under the fake category if you ask me. And if they were real the price tag would be $1,000 or better and that's if they retail them. If it stays a sample being real, expect a price tag of $4,000 or higher!!!!! But, #FAIL

  31. Justin Says:

why would you ruin some good eric kostons man . shoulda left them how they were .

  32. nizzy Says:

props for making a custom shoe and doing it well… but meh, putting gucci on everything is not my style. I wouldn't mind some really nice patterned textile on some panels, but I don't think the gucci was well thought out with these CWs

  33. tina Says:

i have some hot fabric. i wish someone could hook me up with kicks like these. . . or even better, make me some custom bowling shoes. that would be snappin' necks at league =D
