Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 8/27 – 9/2

September is officially here, and that means we’re ready to gear up for the massive Holiday season. If it’s anything like the Holiday 2010 months, we’re already expecting some great releases and quickstrikes, but Sneaker News has you prepped as far ahead as June of next year. We confirmed the releases of the Air Jordan XII in three colorways as well as the Air Jordan IV ‘Military’, but also kept things current with a detailed look at the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan XI Concord. Kanye West debuted the ‘Zen Grey’ colorway of the Air Yeezy 2, which made the highly anticipated shoe look that much better. Kobe and LeBron’s got some special news as well, as we saw the Nike Vault 1-year Anniversary colorway of the Kobe VI and a special Graffit PE of the LeBron 8 V/2. It was Jordans and LeBrons galore on the feet of celebrities this week, as we caught Wale, Fabolous, Fat Joe, and plenty more rocking some serious heat.

Nike SB caught our attention as well with a look at an unreleased ‘Trash Talk’ uppered SB Blazer, as as did adidas with their sick B-Sides Collection and Mickey X Pack. Other notable collaborations was the release of the full-3M uppered Packer Shoes x Reebok Court Victory Pump ‘U.S. Open’. Custom sneakers made some news as well, as we saw Jason Negron’s custom Air Max Penny 1s, and the finalists for the Sneaker News Air Max 1 iD Design Contest were chosen. Sneakerness 2011 in Amsterdam wrapped up, which provided a nice look into the Euro sneaker scene. Finishing off the week was a group of five sick releases: Pine Foams, Miami Nights, LeBron 8 Finals, Air Jordan III Stealths, and OG Trainer SC IIs.
