If you’ve developed a rejuvenation fandom for Ken Griffey Jr., you can thank Nike Sportswear and the retro releases of the Nike Griffey line for that. Continuing forward with the Nike Griffey signature models will be a bit tricky considering that outside of the first two Air Griffeys, the rest of the signature line was underwhelming compared to the iconic designs of the first. Ken Griffey Jr. made baseball-inspired trainers ‘cool’, and the upcoming retro release of the Nike Total Griffey Max ’99 might add some ‘umph’ to the tail-end of the Griffey signature series.
