It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia remains one of cable’s edgiest shows entering its seventh season this Thursday, but one show will always maintain its place in Brotherly Love lore thanks to the opening bars of one of the most unforgettable themes in TV history. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air opened with a story all about how one young man’s life got flipped, turned upside down, and we’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, we’ll tell you how many dope kicks showed up on the air. Will Smith was depicted in a rotating throne rocking the ‘Black Metallic’ Air Jordan V that just saw a retro release this summer, and also happens to be the first in a list of forty-three sneakers in Complex’ latest compendium. The selections range from those to the Fire Red Vs and of course the ‘Grapes’ that many still to this day call the ‘Fresh Princes’, but there’s also a ton of other early ’90s standouts on display and you can see a smattering of the selections after the jump before you head over to Complex for the entire feature.

Nice Article...but see if Jordan Brand wants to Retro sneakers and put out others such as non Retro'd sneakers that barelly sell...why not just either Re-Retro or Retro these older shoes atleast...like Laney 5's and such...you know some stuff people can really want to wear and not have to worry about if I wasted my money on them or whatever lol...but yeah there has been excellent releases in the past couple years and next year going to be as well which I can agree. Also I just dont want all these Jordans to go to the hypebeast and the people who dont appreciate them for their history, instead of trend from these wack mainstream radio rappers lol...look at snapbacks and throwback jerseys...they done already ruined that for everyone haha...as well other things. UGH!!! it is what it is you know...you just got to look ahead of them and know whats cool not just some trend though.

I can see what your saying...but for real I'd have to dis-agree on that hahaha...I knew exactlly what they looked like when I see them...but yeah he wore the best sneakers out of all celebs on TV I'd say...also "white men can't jump"...."do the right thing"..."little monsters"...I cant think of anymore at the moment but I know alot more shows/movies but yeah and plenty of other shows/ movies back then had some tight sneakers...you just got to keep your eyes peeled!!! lol

Just watched that and the rest of season 4 this week and absolutely choked up on that one.
