So much for this one as 2011′s sneaker story of the year. The Nike Mag 2011 is now a mortal lock to top all the year-end lists, its combination of longstanding anticipation, limited numbers, auction-based availability and market valuation unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. But then again, many of those qualities also apply to the first basketball shoe to feature patent leather and carbon fiber, the Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Concord’. This is the shoe Michael Jordan wore in 1995-96 when he led the Chicago Bulls to a record 72-wins, and even if it does play the Sonics to Marty McFly’s crown-snatching release, it’d take something stronger than defying the laws of physics to keep these from being the biggest Christmas season sneaker release. lol who ever got these early you guys got b grades now if your one of the lucky ones you received a 'high class b grade" they are not fake at all they go through inspection and are marked as B grade because there r some Minor defects such as the see through toes and milky..stiching... 23 placement but they are not fake...instead of production sending them back to recycle them they just look the other way and send them right through now why is that? because idiots like ya buy them early and for $100 bucks more....if retailers got together and say NO TO B GRADES!!!! then JB wouldnt look the other way since noone is buying them but thank god for them their are idiots that keep bending on fours for this government...wake up people! for the dude above na son you dont have a A grade..just a high class b grade read up on it i know what im saying

Correct me if im wrong bt the og white cement 4 from 1989 were $110 and then the 199 9white cement retros were $100 so i dont think it's inflation....and i bet the 2011 cement 4s are gonna be $160 with lower quality...
You are correct there, in 1999 the shoe should've cost $140 and in 2011 $190. The argument isn't just based off inflation, don't forget cost of labor + price of materials.

D.O.R (Death of Reselling) re-sellers have f***'d up the sneaker game, they are the reason j's are now $200 an up as oppose to $125 like back in the day. Nike makes billions per year so they have no reason to hike up their prices on any of their products. Nowadays their shoes are being sold off "hype" alone. The sooner the hype dies down the more reasonable the prices are going to get. Think about how much money nike would lose if nobody "hyped" up new releases or waited for hrs in bullshit weather just to buy a damn pair of shoes. If there were no sneakerheads there would be no Nike/JB, we have more power than we think as consumers.
Techincally it has nothing to do with resellers. The price has gone up due to prduction cost.
