Nike Air Max 90 Aztec Pack

The Mayan civilization’s knack for precise mathematics has the world abuzz with the dumbest doom-and-gloom meme since the Y2K ‘meltdown’, but Nike Sportswear looks to celebrate another indigineous New World people this fall so you’ll have at least a year to rock ‘em even if the kooks are right. The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Aztec’ takes on a toned down look when compared to its Air Max 1 counterpart, but the relatively diminished presence of the namesake pattern serves as a sign of good things to come in the future for fans of beautiful suede runners. The chocolate brown toe on these looks good enough to eat, which seems fitting as the Aztecs were among the early folk to utilize the cacao bean and coined the name xocolātl to describe its ‘bitter water’ flavor. Click through to see more angles and let us know which pair of Aztec Pack classic runners you’d prefer to be wearing when the world ends. via Dunk.
