Miami-themed colorways have been all the rage on the Nike LeBron line since the King touched down in South Beach last summer, that particular colorway setting off an explosion of copycat designs and the ‘Miami Nights’ LeBron 8 V/2 Low stealing the show during this year’s dog days. Then yesterday, a look at an insane Nike LeBron 9 colorway drawing comparisons to the Canes color scheme surfaced, but this latest edition offers a more direct connection to Coral Gables’ finest. The LeBron 9 pictured above is either inspired by or will be a player exclusive for the University of Miami, its dope dark green upper accented by bright orange and white to nail the Hurricanes’ home look. Peep some additional photos after the jump and let us know if these change your opinion on one of the most polarizing basketball sneaker designs in recent memory. via LRJ23.
