Nike SB Dunk Mid ‘Griptape’ – Available
September 14th, 2011 by Aaron Hope | 4 comments

Nike SB has been applying some of its classic colorways to new models in 2011, but none of those iconic releases can come close to the design pictured above in terms of repeated releases across the same silhouette. The Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro ‘Griptape’ is back yet again, this time featuring the new-for-2011 sole design and improved internal padding, but it’s a more obvious detail that might be the most significant change moving forward. Should we take from this release that the return of the strapped Dunk Mid SB isn’t too far off, or is the fact that these come just three months after an un-strapped ‘Griptape’ drop mean this is a one-off? Some sneakerheads claim this distinctive feature was the Mid’s best and defined its very essence, while others would stick to Highs and Lows no matter the top enclosure. In any case, this release marks the return of a Swoosh skateboarding classic and you can pick them up today from Premier.
