Perhaps more than ever before, sneakerheads are fully aware of how critical a shoe’s color can be to its success. We’ve witnessed a wide array of color-swap customs that apply legendary looks to different models, a phenomenon that can be attributed to the various online customization services that’ve given us a chance to create 1 of 1s easily and affordably over the last decade-plus. The leader in this field has been NIKEiD for pretty much the entire time since its launch, and now it’s time for another unprecedented move, as we’re soon going to have our chance at coloring the first Nike LeBron signature ever available through the custom creator. The Nike LeBron 9 iD will be available for viewing starting on Tuesday, October 11th and then two weeks later on the 25th, you’ll have a chance to actually buy your specially designed Nines. Got any particular looks in mind you think would look great on this supreme performance machine? Let us know which colorway(s) would look best and stick with Sneaker News to see some samples in advance of the release date. via LRJ23

There's gonna be SO many "South Beach" ID's
September 20th, 2011 at 2:46 pm
I can only imagine how many South Beach CWs will be made…Hopefully they don't make that an option.
September 20th, 2011 at 3:09 pm
omg there is going to be so many south beaches. smh. smh. smh
September 20th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
Somebody gon make a southbeach
September 20th, 2011 at 3:21 pm
i wonder how many colors they will give us to use on these….
September 20th, 2011 at 3:26 pm
Guarantee that someone does a South Beach colorway.
September 20th, 2011 at 3:34 pm
I'm more concerned about how much the price jack up is gonna be than someone making a South Beach pair. If they don't OD on the price and they have the right colors, I'm going Dunkman….Grey/Volt Dunkman.

Space Jams!!!
September 20th, 2011 at 3:48 pm
MSRP: at least 215
September 20th, 2011 at 4:05 pm
Nice, these will look good in white/unc blue or grey/white/lime green colorway. The price is going to be around the same as the AJ 2011's probably. $$$
September 20th, 2011 at 4:11 pm
And they didn't do this with the last two why?… 9's are wack
September 20th, 2011 at 4:19 pm
Nike ID never has south beach colors for a Nike B-ball shoe not even close
September 20th, 2011 at 4:24 pm
You really think Nike would even offer those colors?
September 20th, 2011 at 4:31 pm
The colors are gonna suck y would nike give us good ones especially with the china Miami university colorways coming….Basic colors im guessing
September 20th, 2011 at 5:23 pm
This is another win for Nike
September 20th, 2011 at 5:40 pm
i wonder how much the price will bee.
September 20th, 2011 at 6:39 pm
Price tag will probably be at least 200.00
September 20th, 2011 at 8:42 pm
i bet they have glow in the dark like the hyperdunks
September 20th, 2011 at 8:48 pm
This proves that this shoe is trash. You see they didn't do this with the 7's and 8's. They didn't need to. People took what they could get. With these, they need the ID option.
September 20th, 2011 at 10:12 pm
They prolly gonna do a couple colors that stand out and maybe offer patent or some shit that GRs dont have but i bet theyll be team colors. i doubt nike would offer any colors needed for something special like a "south beach" or "China" colorway
September 20th, 2011 at 11:44 pm
I don't think this can be a indicator of the 9's being trash. They can charge more for ID's so they can actually make more if they give us the option to make our own. No need to have shoes sittling on shelves because people want to be picky about the colorways.
September 21st, 2011 at 1:05 am
It's about time. Nike should do ID's for all of their top signature sneakers. Lebron 9 ID, Nike is gonna charge a lot.
September 24th, 2011 at 7:42 pm
this is soooo true. They know the 9s wont sell like the 7s and 8s did so they made it iD to make up for the fact that these wont sell.
September 25th, 2011 at 5:38 pm
if they did that than no one would buy the GR ones dumbfuck
