Nike Air Force 1 Mid Black White Anthracite

Hybrid models featuring updated high-tech materials dominated Nike Sportswear’s Air Force 1 offerings for a while, but over the past week or so, we’ve noted a welcome increase in good ol’ fashioned Uptowns. The Nike Air Force 1 Mid is, of course, the least tenured of the three AF1 silos, but this new Mid look is undeniably dope in the same colorway we just saw on a Low release. The key difference, aside from height and strap, is the reversal of black and Anthracite elements atop the white base layer, a subtle yet significant switch that might make them both worthy of your hard-earned cash. Click through to see more angles and pick these up today from NSW retailers like Titolo.

Vans California Switchback Holiday 2011 Colorways

The thing about Vans’ relatively simple skate and casual designs is that, unless you go absolutely insane with clashing colors or get lazy rehashing past hits, almost everything you do to these silhouettes is going to look good.  A prime example of this is the latest set of Vans California Switchback boots, a trio that you’ll find yourself switching back and forth on which one’s your favorite, because they’re all just that good.  The two-toned navy and tan pair evokes images of a duckboot, which is appropriate given that these are fully waterproof, but it’s a blocked look that slowly sublimates from the tonal grey joints into an all-black edition that gets its contrast from the textures of varying leather tumbles plus a nylon mudguard.  Click through to see all three pairs and expect these on October 1st at Vans California retailers.  via FNG

NeochaEDGE x Nike Shanghai Office Lobby Mural

Nike has commissioned murals and other art installations by countless artists and designers over the past several years, the latest in an effort to add a playful vibe to the Swoosh’s new Shanghai, China offices.  Nike called on NeochaEDGE to come up with something inspired by the possibilities in a fan’s closet, and they came back with a black-on-white outlined expanse depicting a variety of sneakers, apparel, monsters and, of course, piles of Nike boxes.  Click through to see a video of the process set to a sick beat by local producer Ceezy and let us know how Nike China’s new digs compares to the German adidas headquarters we showed you here on Sneaker News last week.

Vans California Chukka Boot Nordic Pack

Vans has released a variety of intricately patterned kicks over the past few years based upon traditional cultural designs, ranging from various Mexican blanket-style sneakers to Taka Hayashi’s Native American leanings.  This latest duo comes from much further north and a whole ocean to the east, though the similarities might have you asking your teachers what exactly Christopher Columbus discovered.  The Vans Nordic Pack certainly bears a resemblance to those aforementioned designs, perhaps a result of Leif Ericson and his ilk having left a mark on North America centuries before Columbus’ trio of journeys.  But seeing as how it’s much easier to track fashion trends these days than to look back and speculate on what happened a thousand years ago, the more relevant point remains the subtle yet eye-catching styling on these dope new Vans Chukka Boots.  Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via Sneakers.FR

Air Jordan XI Michael Jordan 25th Anniversary Promo Sample

We’ve been occupied with the Air Jordan XI Holiday craze for the last four years, but let’s not be so quick to overlook the 25th Anniversary colorway that hit stores last May! The quirkiest detail of this release was the fact the there was no Jumpman logo on the heel of the shoe, but 25 ‘Jumpman’ed’ pairs of the 25th Anniversary Air Jordan XI were circulated, although not all 25 pairs have been brought to light. Here’s a look at Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary Promo Sample that was made just for Michael Jordan himself; as you can clearly see, the heels feature the Jumpman logos in Metallic Silver. Would you have preferred these released with the famous silhouette? Check out these new detailed images below and to place your bid on this rare pair of Air Jordans, check out the auction from pe.samples on eBay.

Nike Air Yeezy 2 Counterfeits Hit The Market

Quick disclaimer: These are just for viewing purposes. Do not purchase, unless you want some Air Fugeezy’s in your stash. We’ve previewed the upcoming Nike Air Yeezy 2 on the feet of Kanye West, but unfortunately, we have yet to see basic profile image of the sneaker. The counterfeit sneaker game is fairly on top with upcoming sneaker designs, so here we have a collection of sure-fire fakes that represent the Air Yeezy 2 quite well. It’s fairly consistent with what we’ve seen thus far, with the exception of the perforated midfoot strap shown in our most recent preview of the Air Yeezy 2. Some of the colorways below are to be expected, the others? Not so much. Again, we emphasize that these should not be purchased through any online retailer, but take a look below to get a better idea of what the Air Yeezy 2 will look like, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for all your authentic Yeezy 2 updates!

Nike SB Dunk Low Concrete Terrorist Customs by Falsequest

Nike SB already blessed us this year with a Dunk High SB ‘Plum’ based on the classic pre-SB-era Dunk Low B, otherwise, that nickname could have gone to this new custom design pictured above. The Nike SB Dunk Low ’Concrete Terrorist’ was created in tribute to that 2002-05 period many SB heads consider the label’s golden era, their simple two-toned colorblocking pattern cast in the kind of suede and canvas that’d make anyone with classical leanings smile inside. So how does this fat-tongued custom rank against other ‘remixes’, including Nike SB’s own reprisals? Click through for more and leave a comment to let us know what you think. via falsequest on N-SB

Air Jordan III Denim

Denim has made somewhat of a comeback in 2011. It was first featured on a Premium release of the Nike Air Force 1 Low, and recently, a Nike LeBron 8 V/1 sample in Denim/Gold stitching made its rounds on the interwebs. Here’s a complete profile view of the Air Jordan III ‘Denim’ that was teased earlier today; it featured a white midsole with a gum outsole for that lifestyle appeal, and the upper features contrasting materials of a rugged denim and a smooth, luxurious suede. Additional details include a light olive/khaki tone on the heel-tab and Jumpman on the tongue and a navy blue inner lining. Would you be receptive to more ‘lifestyle’ colorways of Air Jordan Retros? Check out the extra shots of the Air Jordan III ‘Denim’ after the jump and let us know what you think. via Fresh Money on NT.

Air Jordan III Khaki

Earlier today Sneaker News showed you a teaser of an Air Jordan III that featured a never-before-seen khaki suede upper with a black/khaki two-toned elephant print. Here we have a full shot of this curious Air Jordan III, which features a white inner lining as well as a gum outsole – a first for the Air Jordan III. We don’t typically see a lifestyle-based colorway for the Air Jordan III, although it is a bit similar to a khaki-colored Air Jordan Force Fusion 3 that released a few years ago. We’ve got some extra shots for you below so take a look and let us know what you think, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for more updates. via Fresh Money on NT.
