Jordan Big Ups

Jordan Brand introduced the visible full-length Max Air unit to its line of performance footwear when it debuted the Jordan Take Flight, and since then we’ve seen a healthy usage of Max Air in a number of other Jordan Brand performance, training, and lifestyle models. The upcoming Jordan Big Ups falls in both the performance and lifestyle category, as it boasts a stylish upper design with suede and textured materials and a funky paint-splatter graphic on the upper. These are slated to hit stores this October as part of the Jordan Brand Holiday 2011 Collection, so stick with Sneaker News for more upcoming release info and let us know what you think of the Jordan Big Ups.

Nike Dunk High Plaid Custom

Last time we saw N-SB forum member jwizvr6 come with a pair of customs it was the Nike SB Dunk ‘Bleached Denim’. Seems like he may be aiming for a theme here, not content to leave the menswear alone, this time grabbing an old pair of plaid shorts for inspiration. After a bit of cut and sew magic this is the result, a smart looking pair of Dunk Highs featuring navy suede and of course the namesake plaid, which echoes the design of various Tweed Dunks we’ve seen over the years. Take a full look at his handiwork after the jump and let us know if this tops the other pieces we’ve seen from jwizvr6.

Air Jordan XIV Light Graphite | Official Images

As all retail brands go, the Holiday shopping season is when the year’s best wares are typically set aside. Looking back to the Holiday 2010 season, we received four Air Jordan II Retros, a plethora of Air Jordan XIIIs, the Cool Grey XI, and more Jordan goodies that made the gift-giving/receiving experience a real treat for Jordan fans. Starting off the Holiday 2011 Retro push is the return of the Air Jordan XIV, which last popped its head out from underground in 2005; this new themed colorway of ‘Light Graphite’ should be implemented onto other models, as we’ve already seen with the Jordan Hydro Slide. Check out these official Jordan Brand images below and let us know if you plan on copping a pair this October 8th, and if you want to get ahead of the game, pick up a pair now on eBay.

Nike Trainer 1.3 Max Breathe

With “breathability” being a buzzword this year, it comes as no surprise that the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max is scheduled for a ventilation upgrade. No, its not getting the Hyperfuse treatment like so many other sneakers this year, instead it will evolved into the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max Breathe, featuring perforated paneling on the upper that encourages air passage. Of course the basics of the trainer remain intact, including the all important 360 Max Air sole. Take a full look at both of the Summer 2012 colorways after the jump and let us know what you think of this upgrade on the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max. via CK

LIVESTRONG x Nike LunarGlide+ 3 Black

For the last few years, the LIVESTRONG partnership with Nike has accomplished its vision of supporting a charitable cause through sport. The LIVESTRONG x Nike collection can be best recognized by, of course, the vibrant yellow accents that are used to detail the sneaker, and sometimes the usage of the bright, sunny tone is heavy, and sometimes its minimal, like the second colorways of the LIVESTRONG x Nike LunarGlide+ 3. This second version features a tonal black upper and LunarLon midsole with the LIVESTRONG label on the tongue and minute yellow colorization on the heel, upper-most lace eyelet, and outsole. Do you prefer these over the Grey/Yellow version we showed you before? Nikestore UK has these in stock now so check out the extra shots be low and let us know what you think.

Air Jordan 8.0 Release Info

Last Holiday season, Jordan Brand hit us with four (yes, four) different colorways of the Air Jordan II. The ‘Candy Pack’, which was comprised of three tonal colorways of the Air Jordan II, as well as the Black/White colorway all hit stores in October and early November, and it appears that another mass release is in store – although the shoe is not exactly a ‘Retro’. The Air Jordan 8.0 – a re-vamped version of the Air Jordan VIII – will be available in five colorways; this October 8th, expect a ‘Playoff’ colorway as well as a White/Navy version, followed by a trio of other team-based colorways on October 22nd. The Air Jordan 8.0 is actually completely re-tooled, utilizing a brand new midsole, Flywire stabilization, and a Hyperfuse-like no-sew upper. Check out all five October 2011 colorways of the Air Jordan 8.0 and stick with Sneaker News for more Jordan Brand Holiday 2011 info.

adidas Originals MEGA Soft Cell RH September 2011 Colorways

adidas has never been a brand to imitate Nike Running’s famed cushioning platforms, but in the case of these latest drops, it’s hard not to picture one of the many 180-degree Max Air releases we’ve seen over the past two decades or so.  The adidas Originals MEGA Softcell RH applies an exaggerated bubbly look to the heel of these two new releases, one in a Chicago-style colorup in which you might picture Derrick Rose running, the other cast in tonal blues with white and silver accents.  Check out both pairs in more photos after the jump and with their arrival at adidas Performance in Manila, Philippines, you can bet they’ll be dropping stateside any day now.  via SM

Vans Chukka Boot Fall 2011 Colorways

Arguably the sneaker responsible for the late ’00s proliferation of chukka boot-inspired designs, the Vans Chukka will return in a variety of simple yet satisfying colorways for the fall.  Three of these four new Chukka Boots come in monochromatic suede with a white waffle sole, the only exception being a black leather edition that adds a matching vulcanized bottom to give them a stealthy look that stands out from the rest.  We’ve been seeing more of these all-over looks from Off the Wall in recent years; do you prefer the classic white sole to a color-coordinated look?  Check out more images after the jump and look for these at retailers like SNKRS.

adidas Originals Decade Hi Suede Lone Blue Light Scarlet Bluebird

When you think of old school basketball sneakers, chances are the material that comes to mind is leather. Indeed when the adidas Originals Decade Hi first hit the scene back in the 80′s the NBA was dominated by sneakers utilizing white leathers in conjunction with popping hits of color. Having outgrown its status as a basketball sneaker, the adidas Originals Decade Hi is back in a luxurious suede, shown here in the tone of lone blue. The sneakers also get an update in the form of the cushioned, perforated tongue in place of the leather one on the originals. Take a full look at this suede adidas Originals Decade Hi after the jump and grab them now from The Good Will Out in Germany.

adidas Originals Pro Model Fall 2011 Colorways

It’s been almost exactly one year since we saw the last pair of adidas Originals Pro Model hightops here on Sneaker News, so what has this hightop shelltoe been up to in the last twelve months? Getting back to basics, apparently, as these two new colorways are about as simple as it gets. White and black pairs both feature toe caps in the same color as their leather uppers and both have golden accents on the tongue, side panel and heel, the former opting for black stripes while the latter relies on a deep green hue for a bit of balance. Have a look at some additional images after the jump and look for these at select Three Stripes stockists like Mr. R Sports.
