Looking for clear evidence of how a single accent shade can change the overall feel of a basic two-toned palette? Look no further than the latest Nike Air Max 90 and Air Force 1 High releases from Nike Sportswear. The latter we’d seen earlier in the week sporting a Deep Burgundy base plus white Swooshes, so why do they look so much warmer and more ‘classic’ than these new Ninetys? It’s all in the third color, in this case a black mudguard that pushes the AM90s to a darker place when compared with the autumn-flavored gumsole AF1s. Both are quite nice in their own right, and the Air Max 90s can be yours at an NSW retailer like Titolo.

They haven’t attained quite the same status as, say, Nike Sportswear’s classic Air Max runners, but adidas Originals has indeed re-established the ZX running series in a big way over the past few years. The aZX Consortium mega-collabo was a great start to getting these classics back to household name status and we’ve seen ObyO contributors like David Beckham and Kazuki Kuarishi take the silhouettes in new directions. But you can’t go wrong with premium materials on an icon, and that’s exactly how Athletes World chose to go with their exclusive new adidas Originals ZX750. Four tonal designs mix suede leather and mesh and will only release at Athletes World’s 120 locations across Italy later this fall. via Provider

It seems as if Dennis Rodman’s recent induction to the Basketball Hall of Fame in August has sparked a resurrection of his footwear legacy over at Nike. While his original signature sneaker, the Air Shake Ndestrukt, isn’t coming back out as of yet, a host of other models that share its DNA are on the calender for 2012. We’ve already shown you the Nike Air Make Shake Evolve and the Nike Air Max Darwin 360, and we’re back with the Nike AC Ndestrukt-a shoe that appropriates the Rodman line into something more casual with an autoclave sole and a Blazer-like silhouette. Take a full look at our preview of this Summer 2012 release after the jump and let us know what you think of the Nike AC Ndestrukt. via CK

If you missed out on one of the 1,500 pairs of the Nike Mag 2011 that were put up for auction and desperately want to experience your own Nike Mag 2011 unboxing session, you’re in luck. Those who won their Nike Mag 2011s have started to receive their precious packages, and as it typically unfolds for big-time sneaker releases, a few pairs have leaked out onto auction (again). For some, parting ways with a pair of the Nike Mag 2011 is a tough thing to do, but at least it’ll give you another chance to get your own pair! Many thanks to Laurent of Arkamix for this new set of images, and if you want to get in on round 2 of the Nike Mag 2011 auctions (unofficial), find a pair right now on eBay.

After the passing of Nike Mag 2011, the world of sneakers pointed its attention back to the Holiday 2011 line-up of Air Jordans, Nikes, and other releases that have big expectations hanging over them. We got a first look at the Air Jordan IV ‘Doernbecher’ – a sneaker that will be the unofficial kick-off for all Air Jordan IV Retro releases in 2012. Some game-worn Air Jordan samples and PEs from basketball, football, and baseball were also big stories as well. The Nike LeBron 9 was also officially debuted by Nike, which we followed up with detailed looks at the Black/Red colorway and the soon-to-release ‘China’ version. The Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low made the most headlines this year in Nike SB news, but a first look at the ‘GR’ version will make it one of the best sneakers of the year. And although the Nike Mag 2011 auctions have come and gone, the Mag still made some great headlines as those who were fortunate to be winning bidders shared their newest pick-up.
In Nike Penny news, we got a look at a new Foamposite One colorway, part of the Sole Collector Las Vegas set. A ‘Max Orange’ colorway of the Zoom Rookie LWP also caught our attention. Staying on the Nike Basketball Retro tip was a preview of some upcoming Nike Basketball classics that have been revamped, like the Air Max Darwin 360, Air Max Shake Evolve, and Air Max Barkley. In Nike Sportswear news, we learned of release info for the Mighty Crown x NSW collaboration, and also got a look at two new revamped Air Max 95s – a model that has been relatively untouched during Nike Sportswear’s catalog-wide ‘refresh’. Finally, we brought to light one of the more controversial subjects of the sneaker game – the overall rise in prices – by bringing you a well thought-out editorial from a prominent name in the sneaker publications. Check out the rest of Sneaker News Weekly Rewind, and see you in October!

If you’re a celebrity, you don’t need to wear the rarest, most limited kicks to be noticed by Sneaker News. In fact, many of 2011′s general-releasing Air Jordan Retros like the Air Jordan IIIs in the OG colorways and the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux provide that nostalgic factor that truly fuels the sneaker game and ‘collecting’ bug. Wale’s been recognized as one of the most well-versed sneaker-heads out there – his celebrity status neither enhances nor diminishes that truth. Recently, Wale’s been spotted with some of the best releases of the year, like the True Blue IIIs, Miami Nights LeBron 8s, and most recently, the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux – a sneaker that many have been waiting patiently for since it debuted in 1992. Check out Wale ‘chilling’ with Melyssa Ford and former P. Diddite Aubrey O’Day below and let us know what you think Wale will be spotted in next!

Models like the Lava Dome, Air Magma and Air Talaria have been with us for so long, they’ve come to define Nike All Conditions Gear‘s signature look. From the bold original colorways to their impeccable lines, these designs have so much good will built up that when newer ones hit shelves in conjunction with ACG’s Nike Sportswear-housed revival, some sneakerheads didn’t know what to do with something as crazy as, say, the Flywire-equipped Ashiko. But with last year’s Lunar MacLeay, we got a look at what was to come from the Swoosh’s outdoor division, a sleek yet functional design whose molded lines give way to a new kind of sophistication as yet unseen on an ACG Boot.
Fast forward a over a year to today and we’re in the midst of a full-on All Conditions revival, upcoming releases like the Zoom Meriweather, Manoa ACG and Air Max Conquer all bearing the signs of a world to come where a model like the one pictured above could just sneak up on you totally by surprise. The new Nike ACG Premium Boot looks the part of its name with a premium VacTech leather upper that gives way to Gore-Tex waterproof lining and rides a full-length Max Air cushion. This first Midnight Fog and Dark Copper colorway looks perfect with khakis and should do just as well with pretty much any shade of denim you could throw at them when you pick up a pair at select NSW retailers including Extra Butter.

Sneakerheads have wanted to be like Mike for a quarter-century now, but in the last few months, we’ve noticed a growing sentiment to look like Spike. We’re not talking about the Brooklyn auteur’s smart tortoiseshell glasses, however spiffy, but rather the fact that upon our first viewing of these New York-inspired Jordan Spiz’ikes, only the biggest Knicks fan had both colorways of what appeared to be something of a ‘PE’ for his namesake hybrid. But news of the blue nubuck and orange leather Spizikes has us expecting even more heat in what is building up to be the biggest holiday season on record; will these make your personal shopping and/or wish lists? Have a closer look at the orange Spizikes after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date. via Kicks-lab

Suede. Rip-stop Nylon. Perforated leather. Classic mesh. Speckled midsoles. What a way to re-introduce the Nike Air 180 back onto Nike iD. The Nike Air 180 was a prominent member of the Air Max legacy, as it introduced the new 180-degree Max Air unit back in 1991. It followed the Air Classic BW and preceded the Air Max ST and the more well-known Air Max 93, which featured the huge Max-Air unit on the heel. That spelled the end of the 180-degree Air bubble, but this cult-classic also shares the same cushioning technology as a Nike Basketball classic known as the Nike Air Force 180. It’s an added treat that the Nike Air 180 is on Nike iD, because the Air 180 is an oft-overlooked Sportswear model in the states. Head to Nike iD now to iD your pair, and let us know what designs you come up with!

The original Nike Air Max 95 formula of white-grey-black gradient plus a vivid accent color is quite simply perfect. A design that elegant really can’t be so much as improved, but that’s not to say that a range of variants can’t be equally satisfying in their own right. We’ve seen inverted gradients, all-tonal uppers and now this new pair slated to release next month, which has a bit of extra black added in lieu of the white sections for a vaguely Stash-like feel as coupled with blue on the eyelets and Air bubbles. Have a closer look at this new Air Max 95 after the jump and expect them at Nike Sportswear retailers like Villa starting October 15th.
