Nike LeBron 9 Home

The Fall/Holiday cusp is the unofficial mark of the start of LeBron season, and as we’ve experienced before, Nike Basketball rolls out the LeBron 9 with a special edition colorway, preceding the expected ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ colorways. Here’s a look at the White/Black/Red colorway of the LeBron 9, presumably LeBron James’ ‘Home’ colorway. The white upper is paired with black accents on the Flywire, weave panel, and on the unique lace lockdown harness at the midfoot, while the outsole is a combination of red and white solid rubber. Comparing the ‘Home’ and the Black/Red ‘Away’ will reveal that there is minimal variance between the two, as the interchanged white and black is the only prominent difference (that’s what a Home and Away should be, right?). Continue reading for additional images of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Home’ and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more Nike LeBron 9 updates. via weibo.

Nike LeBron 9 Officially Unveiled

“LeBron brings a rare combination of speed, agility and force to the game and my goal is to outfit him in a shoe that lets him do what he does best while maximizing our superior innovations.”

We got some insight just this morning, into how Nike Basketball designer Jason Petrie went about creating the Nike LeBron 9 to match King James’ on and off-court needs. Following on their informal ‘interview’ comes the official unveiling of this team’s third attempt to capture the crown, the Nike LeBron 9. Right out of the gate, you can just see there’s something special about this shoe, from its use of a significant portion of carbon fiber on the side panels in addition to added strength in the shank plate. The LeBron 9 is the first shoe to combine the benefits of the lightweight and super-strong Flywire 3.0 technology with Hyperfuse ventilation for a nearly seamless one-piece upper that, along with Nike Pro Combat-inspired padding on the interior, makes for a strong contender for the title of most comfortable and visually impressive performance basketball sneaker yet.  And you can be assured of a supremely smooth ride thanks to a large Max Air cushion in the heel that’s coupled with Zoom Air in the forefoot for maximum responsiveness.  Expect the Nike LeBron 9 at retailers starting Saturday, October 1st in Greater China, followed by its US debut two weeks later on the 15th when the ‘China’ LeBron 9 in Cannon hits along with select college colorways to be followed by the inline bred colorup on October 25th. Check out some crisp new images along with a few preliminary sketches after the jump and let us know which colorways you’re most excited to grab.

Air Jordan 1 White Promo Sample

The Air Jordan Silver Anniversary Collection was launched in 2010, celebrating the milestone 25th year of the Air Jordan Legacy. It was a tribute to the originals, and of course, the Air Jordan 1 came first and led to the greatest footwear legacy of all-time. Although the Air Jordan 1 is the most re-issued installment of the Air Jordan Legacy, the mystical aura still exists, and as we get a detailed look at the tonal-white Air Jordan 1 from the 25th Anniversary Collection, we are yet again reminded that the Air Jordan, praised for its high-tech performance upgrades and ground-breaking designs, had the simplest of roots. Continue reading for this rare detailed look at this promo sample, originally made for Michael Jordan, and let us know what your favorite Air Jordan of all-time is. via DaClosetCollector.

Nike Air Max 90 Black Ripstop
Black is a shade commonly used on the high contrast colorways that so frequently accompany the Nike Air Max 90, but this latest release goes all the way to complete ‘blackout’ status, relying solely on the contrast in materials to add some extra flavor. These Ninetys are crafted with the traditional leather mudguard and side panel Swooshes, but ther rest of the upper is cast in rugged ripstop nylonfor a lightweight but durable finished product. These are ripe for a colorful lace exchange, with anything from the obvious red to the subtler looks you’ll get from a softer shade like some pastel. Have a closer look at more images after the jump and look for these at Nike Sportswear stockists likePremier.

Nike Air Max Barkley Summer 2012

This past May, Sneaker News showed you the all-new Nike Barkley ‘hybrid’ shoe simply titled the ‘Air Max Barkley‘. It features the popular Air Max2 CB ’94 silhouette in a completely reconstructed upper, using a one-piece seamless Hyperfuse-like thin, ventilated material in favor of the leather, suede, and mesh used in the original version. These two new colorways are expected to drop during the Summer 2012 season; the first is a refreshing White-based colorway with blue and and teal green accents, while the second expected release is a bit of an opposite, opting for multiple grey tones for that harder ‘street’ appeal. We’ve got additional images of both upcoming colorways of the Nike Air Max Barkley below so take a peek and let us know what you think. via CK.

LeBron James + Jason Petrie Talk Nike LeBron 9

“It’s your mind and my mind that came together to make something like this.”

All the new Nike LeBron 9 colorways revealed in the last week have sneakerheads talking, and the general concensus is that all it took was a couple carefully curated palettes to prove that their elite performance aspirations don’t have to come at the expense of good looks.  LeBron James himself obviously had quite a few conversations with Nike Basketball designer Jason Petrie during the shoe’s early product cycle, and a look into these dialogues was just published by SneakerFreaker along with some dope new photos of the ‘China’ LeBron 9s.  Click through to see what they had to say about the first Nike LeBron flagship destined for NIKEiD customization and let us know which is your favorite colorway so far.

Nike Zoom Rookie LWP Black Max Orange

It doesn’t stand a chance to win sneaker of the year going heads-up against the favorites Nike Mag 2011 and Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Concord’, but is there any doubt that the Nike Zoom Rookie is the most impressive hybrid design we’ve seen this year?  Not only is this mashup of the Go Flight LWP, Air Flight 1 and Air Foamposite One absolutely perfect in its combo construction, but there are enough impressive colorups on the way to suit anyone’s taste.  The latest would do perfectly with a late October release, and with the House of Hoops-exclusive tag rumored to carry along with it a limited run of 666 pairs, these might very well come out on top of next month’s list.  Have a closer look at the black and Max Orange Zoom Rookie after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via osneaker

A Bathing Ape Donegal Tweed Bape Sta

Oh how things have changed for Bape. A few years back and any pair of A Bathing Ape Bape Stas wouldn’t be complete without shiny patent leather in glowing colors with all over print Baby Milo heads and gold laces. Ok that description was a little hyperbolic, but the point is that Bape doesn’t have to rely on crazy colors to turn heads, just check out these two pairs of the A Bathing Ape Bape Sta in Donegal Tweed. Simple brown and black colorways with smart materials and the all important gum-sole, what’s not to like? Also check out the leather piping blocking off the sections of the upper, giving them an almost Vandal like look. Peep both pairs of these Bape Stas after the jump and let us know in the comments if you approve. via HS
