The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski is one of Swoosh skateboarding’s biggest hits because it combines modern performance with classic styling on a docksider-derived silhouette that’s as elegant as it is satisfying. There’s really only one ‘colorblocking’ option on the Janoskis given their simple construction, so the first images of this ’Wino’ Janoski SB had people excited about the novel use of ‘staining’ across the canvas uppers. And from the samples we’ve seen, it seems clear that the process to create this novel design creates 1 of 1s, leaving you with a real handcrafted feel. The Winos were rumored to be a Quickstrike for October, but conflicting reports are swirling that there is still no set release date at this time. Have a better look at them after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more as new info surfaces. via retrozpekt on eBay

As sneaker releases continue to cover more thematic ground with each passing season, many designers have excavated the indigenous cultures of the western hemisphere in search of inspiration. This new Reebok Court Victory Pump comes to us in a solid taupe suede plus blue accents including a dope speckled midsole, but those come in second to a bold geometrical print on the ankle and sockliner. Additional details include crossed tomahawk embossing on the heels and zig-zag stitching in select areas for a handcrafted feel, and you can see all of these details up-close and personal after the jump. Let us know how these compare to peers like Taka Hayashi’s Vans Vault creations, Nike Sportswear’s upcoming Aztec Pack and the dope ‘Grand Slam’ Court Victory Pumps by Packer Sports. via SP

Previewed earlier this year as part of the Nike Air Griffey Max II Holiday 2011 releases is this Metallic Dark Grey colorway that is slated for a mid-November release. It features the metallic Dark Grey tonal upper, which gives the shoe a faux-Foamposite look like we saw in other lower-end shoes like the Nike Air Max Wavy, and a solid white midsole, that provides a necessary contrast to the metallic finish on the upper. We’ve got additional images below so take a good look and expect these to touch down at Nike Sportswear retailers in mid-November.

“Today is the day. You will no longer slip on a basketball court.”
It’s a strong statement, especially for those of us who’ve played on the slipperiest of tile floors, but when someone with the kind of jaw-dropping, leave-you-in-the-dust quickness as Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade says something helps him “move with incredible confidence,” it’s worth examining. Maybe D-Wade had enough of LeBron James’ chalk routine and decided to outdo him when it comes to pre-game feel improvements, but it’s more likely given the NBA’s logo appearing on the bottle, that Mission’s new Court Grip traction enhancer is the real deal. If Wade is right and this Foot Locker-exclusive product really does make the ground beneath you more stable, would you be willing to give it a go? Click through to see a couple of videos starring Agent D3 himself and let us know what works best for keeping your basketball kicks from slippin’.

The Nike SB Dunk Mid is moving along strongly in 2011 with several standout colorways including the recent ‘Un-Supreme’ drop and even a reissue for the strapped Griptapes. Here’s a new look at another pair of Mids slated to release this year, depicted in a real world setting so you can get a sense for how well they’ll carry over to your winter wardrobe. The Dunk Mid SB ‘Patagonia’ is as rugged and outdoorsy as anything Swoosh skateboarding has released since the Bill Jordan Realtree camo joints that could also be seen as a starting point for the then-newly destrapped Mid’s winning streak. Click on the jump belwo to see this earthy combination of leather, suede and canvas and stick with Sneaker News to learn the exact US release date. via retrozpekt on eBay

Please read carefully – these are a GS release! Many of our readers were understandably too excited to the read the text and went straight for the prize, and quickly noted that the midsole was completely different from the OG. We’d like to re-iterate that those are the expected kids release, and the men’s version of the Air Jordan IV White/Cement should be like the original! Other notes: the speckling is the original black instead of the dark grey we saw in earlier samples, and the ‘wing’ that houses the uppermost lace eyelets is wrapped in a nubuck material. We’ve got another detailed look below so check ‘em out and stay tuned to Sneaker News for a look at the men’s version soon! via marqueesole.

News of the Nike LeBron 9 hitting Nike iD was music to the ears of LeBron-philes everywhere, and before it hits October 25th in limited numbers, here’s a preview of what you can expect in terms of colorway options for LeBron 9th signature shoe. Some notable colors available for the upper overlay are orange (Knicks?) and green (SVSM?), and the Flywire Mesh portion has some great selections as well, like Royal Blue to finish off that NY appeal, or another hit of green for that tonal visual. Personalization comes in the form of a heel and rear-tongue iD, fashionable in a number of colors as well. Stay tuned for a release this October 25th, as they will be limited in number!

Kevin Durant has seen success at every level of play. Montrose Christian, the McDonald’s All-American Game, Texas, Team USA, Seattle, Oklahoma City – ‘winning’ just follows the guy. As one of Nike Basketball’s three-headed monster, Kevin Durant has built up quite a legacy not on off-the-court gossip, but with on-court performance and a true down-to-Earth persona. A signature shoe for under $100 is uncalled for these days, but that’s something KD pushed for himself – an affordable and stylish pair of kicks that has appeal to sneakerheads, ballers, and those on a budget. Check out some Kevin Durant’s most notable sneaker moments below, which include the Nike Mag 2011, Air Jordan III, Air Jordan XIV (pictured above), and the Nike Zoom KD III, and let us know what your favorite Kevin Durant sneaker moment is. Kid Cudi lied about copping four pairs of the Nike Mag 2011. He actually bought five. During last night’s episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Kid Cudi revealed that he dropped roughly a year’s worth of college tuition on the Nike Mag 2011 eBay auctions – four for himself and a fifth pair for his girlfriend Jamie Baratta. To end up with five pairs is quite the impressive feat, especially considering Kid Cudi isn’t a weathered veteran of the ebay game; he created an eBay account right before the Nike Mag 2011 auctions. Check out some stills as well as Kid Cudi’s interview after the jump and let us know what you think!
