Exactly what does it feel like to enter United Center under a huge bronze statue of the greatest player of all time and have twenty-three thousand plus fans all hoping you can return a once dominant franchise to its peak glory? Perhaps it’s something like staring down a bull in a stadium nearly twice as large, only your wit and quickness saving you from utter destruction. That’s the obvious connection in this new teaser video for adidas Basketball’s latest Derrick Rose commercial spot. The unique thing about this ad is that Three Stripes is looking to get a hundred thousand Facebook Likes, upon which occasion the likers will be granted exclusive access to the new D-Rose commercial video. Over the weekend, Sneaker News gave you a look at an all-new Jordan Brand performance footwear model titled the Jordan Big Ups. It featured a full-length 360 Max Air unit, seen first on the Jordan Take Flight of last year, with a uniquely designed upper that provided both performance and aesthetic pluses. Here we have a look at a wear-test sample of the Jordan Take Off, which at quick glance looks similar to the Air Max LeBron VII; look carefully and you’ll spot a notable difference between this sample and the Jordan Big Ups – the Max Air unit is only visible for about two-thirds of the sole. Whether this ‘Jordan Take Off’ or the Big Ups is the final product on this new basketball-ready is still not confirmed, but check out the detailed shots below and let us know which of the two you prefer, and visit the full auction from 2legit2quit78 on eBay.

This Holiday season, the ‘Last Shot’ colorway of the Air Jordan XIV will hit stores once again, marking the third overall release of the shoe. Michael Jordan only wore the ‘Last Shot’ for two games – the second half of Game 5 and all of Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals (we don’t need to tell you how that series ended, do we?). The Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’ joins the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ and Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’ among others as Air Jordan OGs that have been re-issued twice, so here we have a nice side-by-side-by-side comparison of all three editions; one quick look and you’ll see that the tumbled leather used on the upper of the Air Jordan XIV is the same used on the upcoming Air Jordan III Black/Cement. We’ve got more for you below so take a good look and let us know if you have plans on copping the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’. via soleawesome.

Before we close the eighth chapter of the book of Nike LeBron, let’s take one last look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S.. The LeBron 8 P.S. was an unprecedented third installment of the eighth signature shoe that evolved alongside LeBron James’ game, providing a lighter, more responsive package tailored specifically to his game. In addition, the LeBron 8 P.S. also served as a platform for new technology as well as a segway to the Nike LeBron 9, which also features the 180-degree Max Air and forefoot Zoom Air cushioning system. It’s not ‘breaking news’ when we mention that the LeBron 8 P.S. was the least popular of the three – clearly the ‘Dunkman’ colorway alone wasn’t high-energy enough to elevate the shoe to beyond a performance sneaker. But looking at these unreleased PEs, like the ‘South Beach’ that LeBron wore during the Battle of the I-95 game last weekend or this jaw-dropping Gun Metal colorway that we showed you some time ago, you might be able to see the true potential of this short-lived sneaker. For the LeBron 9, the P.S. series will reach new heights with the $250 Elite, of the LeBron 8 P.S. is any indication (in terms of performance and engineering), we can only expect the very best. Check out this fresh new look at the unreleased Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Gun Metal PE and let us know if you would’ve copped these if they released. via xclusive_sole.

With so many samples of Air Jordans and Nikes that enter the experimental stage, a few are bound to get lost in the shuffle. Sneaker News recently showed you the Air Jordan III ‘Denim’ that mysteriously popped up around the net, and considering the current year’s milestone for the Air Jordan III, some speculated that these were a sample at perhaps an upcoming release. Unfortunately, the Air Jordan III ‘Denim’ is just another unreleased sample from years past – 2009 to be exact; it was spotted on the feet of then Jordan Brand Footwear Business Director Astor Chambers, who wore the sample during that year’s Jordan Brand Quai 54 basketball tournament in Paris. By year’s end, Chambers left his role with the Jumpman and focused his industry talents on 2010′s World Basketball Festival. As Chambers left, so did the possibility of a release for the Denim IIIs, and it’s likely that the Khaki Suede sample we showed you alongside the Denim met a similar fate. In any case, the myth has been busted: these are not an upcoming sample. We do have an extra shot for you below – a never-before-seen look at the heels – so check ‘em out and let’s hear your opinions. via SC.

Since it first released in late summer, the Nike Trainer 1.3 has shown up in a variety of impressive colorways and themes. We’ve also seen a variety of constructions with two different full-length Max Air editions joined by a Free soled variation. This latest release falls into that latter category, the new Trainer 1.3 Free in Dark and Cool Greys perhaps most similar to the EA Sports ‘Letterman’ collabo for its use of suede instead of Hyperfuse and a general muting of the forefoot Flywire. Click through to see more details like the tonal grey speckled midsole and pick up a pair today from NikeStore.

There’s no doubt that Chris Paul will continue receiving Air Jordan PEs. The question is – What colorway will they be? At the end of the 2012 NBA Season, Chris Paul will be looking for a new head office as his contract with the New Orleans Hornets will expire. Unless NOLA can wrap him up, CP3 will definitely be on the move, with the New York Knicks being a possible suitor. We’re months away from that sort of decision, so in the meantime, check out this additional Air Jordan Chris Paul PE goodness – this time in the form of the Air Jordan XIII. It features a white upper with a teal blue midsole and royal purple outsole, matching the Hornets uniforms to a tee. Add in the CP3 logo on the tongue and you have a sick PE colorway – perhaps better than Ray Allen’s? More detailed shots below thanks to Air_Andy, so take a look and let us know what you think.

The Nike SB P-Rod signature line has been used to promote Nike Skateboarding and Nike Action Sports in general to the public. The inclusion of the Nike SB P-Rod V to Nike iD marks the first ever Nike SB shoe to hit the personal customization process, and now it’s slightly taller yet slightly younger brother joins in on the fun. Of course, the marquee custom detail is the use of elephant print, which allows you to make some interesting drafts, like both the Air Jordan III Flip colorways. Check out some of samples below to get an idea of all the custom options, and head over to Nike iD to get your own pair.

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a first look at the Air Jordan IV White/Cement Retro for February 2012. Here’s another detailed look at the GS size of that upcoming release; as mentioned before, the plastic ‘wing’ has been replaced with a leather-wrapped version seen in later Air Jordan IV retros like the ‘Mist Blue‘, ‘Cool Grey‘, and ‘Tour Yellow‘. The black speckling from the original version returns as well, but considering the last time we saw the Air Jordan IV Cement had ‘Nike Air’ on the heel, the Jumpman on the heel will take some ‘getting used to’. In any case, these will be one of the most popular Air Jordan Retro releases of 2012, so take a look at the detailed shots below and stay tuned for more updates. via kickslab.
